Slide will not extend but will retract

I have a 2009 Rockwood Roo 23ss with one large slide-out. When I push the "OUT" switch nothing happens (no motor sound or movement), I can manually extend the slide out. When I push the "IN" switch the slide retracts with no problem. MY batteries read "FULL" and I am plugged into shore power.

I'm trying to find if there is a slide control module but have not been successful finding one. I was thinking it might be a control module problem as the motor seems operational and I have power in one mode. Have any ideas to know if the IN/OUT switch it bad?

Any ideas or shared experiences of anything I am over-looking on this issue?

you might want to pull the switch and make sure all the wires are still attached. You could try reversing the wires at the switch to see if it is a switch failure.

Checked the 30 amp reset breaker under trailer near frame and battery, it was popped. Reset and tried switch inside. No extension and now retraction worked a few seconds then stopped working. ???

I owned a 2007 Roo 23SS for 10 years. The only problem I had with the super slide, was that it started blowing the 30 amp fuse that was located under the trailer, along the frame.
The slide motor is located under the couch. I suspect wiring or switch issues. Have you used the supplied crank to put the slide out?

I replace both batteries with new ones and checked all fuses.... all showed good. Tried the switch, nothing on "OUT", retraction "IN" started to work then quit. Checked 30 amp fuse near frame... it was blown. Replaced, attempted again with same results. Blown fuse again and replaced.

I'm thinking it's a short somewhere or my Slideout motor is starting to fail and putting too much load, then blowing the fuse? Did you find out what was causing your problem when your fuse kept blowing?

Yes I've used the manual crank to extend and retract the slide.

No, it self corrected after blowing the fuse a second time.
I lubed the slide mechanism so in my case, i think something was binding.

I would check connections on switch 1st, easiest. Try using a "Jumper" wire to check switch failure or short. You can also use an Amp gauge to make sure you have power on posts. Then check connections on the slide motor itself. As much as these shake and bounce, I have had motor connections come loose. Mine quit, I went thru the same process. I got underneath and found that original connector crimp was bad. I cut and crimped a new connector on-Fixed.
