Slideout Floor repair

I am going to be helping my Dad replace a corner of his slideout that has rotted out. In looking at my 2016 Travel trailer my slideout does not have the black tarp material that most have ,it’s just (chipboard)wood that’s painted black.And its the same on all 3 slideouts on my unit.
So my question is ,is it just wood that’s been painted black ?

Without knowing the year, make and model number of your trailer, it's had to answer your questions. FR divisions often do different things.

Since that is not a Forest River product, not sure if anyone here can know how Dutchman constructs their slideouts.
