Slideout gear problem

Has anyone replaced a gear under their side out. Notices it not retracting correctly and a couple of the gear teeth were left in the track.

Would be great if someone has directions and pics. Do you have to take the slidout out to replace?
Any idea part #'s for a 2008 sunseeker 3100SS? Dinette and sofa are on the slide.

Thanks,

Donna

I have had 3 different problems at 3 different times with my slide out and never had to replace the gear, but the teeth on the gear are breaking you may have other issues with your slide out, the teeth should not be breaking, I may be wrong but it sounds like the slide out is under stress for some reason.

I know it was overweight and not level when it happened. The gear is a cheap metal and that is part of the problem. I know the gear needs to be a hardened one.
I have search the internet to find how to replace and possible part#'s but no one has posted anything.
