Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. Slide supports are not recommended by any slide Mfg. I would never use them if your stabilizers settle or a tire looses inflation all the weight is placed on the slide in the wrong direction.

Years past some slideouts did sometimes droop, but I think that problem was solved by RV builders. I agree with Seadog.

RV and slide manufacturers recommend to NOT use them. Support the RV’s frame, not the slideout.

You can do damage to your slide mechanisms because they put upward pressure on parts that aren’t designed for it if the RV settles for any reason (and really, just moving around the RV causes movement of them), it puts undue stress on the slide mechanisms (which are remarkably fragile in the first place).

Instead, support the frame of the camper with jacks OR use something like the SteadyFast system.

I agree dont use them im fulltime my slide been out over year and half with no problems.Theirs is a rv dealer here on southern Oregon coast thats tells people it wont do any damage to anything and will help with thin slide floors from flexing and also their delivery guy said same thing.they must be looking for extra business.

No need for supports ,we have been living in our 3008 windjammer for 8 years now ,slides have been out all that time and no problems, guy living in same camp as us had supports under his slides ,earthquake happened ,bent all gearing and shafts, couldn’t get slides back in ,so would not recommend
