Top wipe seal getting hung up
Hi
I have a 2019 Apex Nano 193BHS. I noticed the roof wipe seal is getting hung up on one side. I'm not sure if this will really effect anything since the seal is pulled in or out fully once the slide is moved in or out. I can take a wood dowel and slide it under the sweep to make sure its fully deployed. Is this normal? If it isn't how would this be fixed? My warranty is till May 2020.
I also notice a decent thuck sound when when deploying the slide outward. It's just at startup. Not sure if that's normal? RV is covered for now or I would record it.

Seems like no matter how well I lube the seals on my slides, several areas always seem to roll under just like that. Never had any leak issues with it, so I don't even bother with them anymore.

its to wipe rain off when closing, and to keep birds and rocks out while open. it will be OK.

That seems like an odd couple of things that would be trying to get past the upper slide seal wiper.
To the OP... have you used any slide seal conditioner on any of the seals?

I just conditioned the seals before pulling the slide in and covering it. Admittedly I did not do the inner upper wipe seal. I would have to pull the slide in part way and I heard that's not something I should do. I can try and lift it from the outside and use a rag to tread the wipe seal underneath.

Its a term commonly used in the automotive circles defining certain air filters.

My Arctic Fox slide seals used to do this on the sides all the time. Spray-on seal conditioner helped some, so did waxing the side of the slide. I could put it all the way out, then bring it in some, then go out again and it seemed to go away until next time.

Had that happening with mine. Cleaned the side walls of the slide and gave them a good waxing. That seamed to do the trick.

Slide out seal problem
I'm very disgusted with the slide out seals on my Forester. A stupid way they are installed was with caulk for fastening that is flexible and never dries. So every time I extend the slides I have that stuff on the seals that touch the goo when slides are closed. I am continuing to clean it off the seals and slides with mineral spirts, waxing the side slides and using seal conditioner.
On my previous TT, never once in 15 years did I have this mess. So they can be installed without the caulk that was used on the Forester.

I used WD40 to clean that excess goop from my seals first before waxing the slide. So far so good.

I had the same problem and the solution was counter intuitive. You would think the more dry the roof the more the wipe seal would grab, however, after using roof conditioner the problem stopped.
Toward the end of every season it takes longer for the wipe seal to come out. Even after cleaning the roof and conditioning the seals it still sticks a bit then I condition the roof and it starts coming out quickly every time.
I don't know how the physics works out but there is probably some genius on here that can explain.

This is the automotive trim that I put on the top and sides of my slide. When it contacts the slide seal it pulls it in the correct direction. I installed it such that the slide seal contacts the trim on all 3 sides of the slide at the same time. Big mistake. It just about stalls the slide motor. You wouldn't think there would be that much resistance.
