Hi folks. New to forum. Hope you can help.
Purchased a used 2021 Forest River 274BRB.
Trailer level. Slide-out is extended. Slide-out slightly off level.
Undercarriage fiberglass, down the middle of slide between rails, is tearing and exposing the plywood.
Did not know if this was pre purchase or not. Used black duct tape to cover exposed seam. Put slide in, then out once. Tape is tearing and re-exposing plywood. See picture.
What's the fix?
Thanks in advance.
Go to any auto parts store and get a fiberglass repair kit. Remove the duct/duck tape and clean the area of any residue. Then follow the instructions on the repair kit.
Looks like something is protruding into the tape to split it. Even a good fiberglass repair won't fix that until you find out what is rubbing on that material as the slide moves.

I believe I found the problem.
Did some measuring on the outside to center up damaged area. found an errant staple protruding from the plastic glide under the carpet inside. wiggled out the staple, re-duct taped = no more damage.
Now to fix the fiberglass.
