Wildcat Slide Problem, Not Coming Out Even

Greetings All.
I have a 2006 Wildcat 29BHHP (i think) with a single slide. We have had no problems until the last trip out. When extending the slide it make several loud klunking noises and we noticed the slide was extended tight on the hoist side, but the other end was about 4 inches from being fully extended. It comes in tight and with no noise. I tried to look at the gears on the rod that extendes between each end and they appear to be there. It sounds like it may be jumping gears or something. Where do I begin to look for the problem with this? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I don't see any bolts sheared off. The rod turns, somithing is clunking. Kind of like it is jumping a tooth every second or two. It was kind of dark so I could not see very well. I'm going to have my wife extend it tonight and get under there and watch to see if I can see something happening. Sorry, not much help at this point. Hopefully will have more information tonight. Thanks!

Upon furthur inspection, I found a gear that had a broken tooth on the hoist side of the slide (toward the front of the unit). It appears that the gear assembly is nothing more than an idler assembly on each end of the slide with the rod keeping the gears on each end in sync. Where might I find a replacement gear, and is it an easy task to replace it? Is there any special things I need to know before attempting this project?
