Wooden skirt on slide out sticking/dragging

We've actually posted this in other spots but I thought I'd post it here as well. We have a V-Cross Vibe with a slideout. Love it! However, the very thin wooden skirt at the bottom of the "wall" is dragging both when we slide out and in. We've received the suggest of using shims to lift the areas that stick. But, does anyone have a more permanent suggestion? We're hesitant to cut/trim the panel as the wood is very, very thin. The floor is completely level, the slide out is also level and we've measured the panel to see if it was somehow cut unevenly, but it also seems pretty darned even/square. Any ideas? thanks!!
