120v electrical outlet question

I anticipate that this question has been previously asked and answered but I have had no luck finding it using the search feature of the forum. So, I apologize to all of those of you who will be shaking your head at such a lame question. However, here goes....

I have a 2021 CC Silverback 33ik. It has a 1000 watt inverter. When not connected to shore power, the inverter runs the residential refrigerator, the stove, the radio and probably a few other small items that I have overlooked.

My question is whether or not any of the 110 AC outlets have been wired to run off of the inverter? Thinking it would be nice to have a cup of coffee without hooking up the generator.

Thank you!

Dave

I have a different brand (rockwood) but likely same 1000w inverter.

On mine, the outlets on the inverter all have a white label on them. They are also fed with purple romex but you have to get behind the outlet to see that.

A coffee maker takes a lot of juice, make sure 1000w is enough. Small keurigs draw 700w, big ones 1400w (YMMV).

If you want to kill your battery that would be a quick way to do it .

Depends on how much battery he has and how much the coffee maker draws.

I run a cup off my GC2 (battery’s) setup, draw 150dc amps for a short time. Also run my microwave at times without any issues.

Consider a percolator on the propane stove for your morning coffee.

Cedar Creek may have changed the wiring in the last few years, but the inverter on my 2017 only supplies power to the residential refrigerator. Just the 1 outlet behind the fridge.

You'd likely want to add another outlet. Typically the inverter just has limited items. It will actually have a run from the panel to the AC input. All the inverted receptacles will come off the AC output there.

That said, at 1000 watts, you may have issue with heavy loads so make sure you know the power draw . You'd likely pop breakers or fuses should say the refrigerator compressor kicks on as well.

Take the wattage of your coffee maker (say 1500 watts) from the label. That is what your inverter has to produce plus the 10-15 percent loss in the conversion process. There are other variables also.

Some of the higher end RVs have automatic transfer switches that will switch back and forth depending on whether or not shore power is available. They all would probably have much larger capacities than 1000 watts.
