1st TRIP IN OUR NEW 38EL

Bought our 38el in September last year to go fulltimers. We have a permanent site in KY. Took it out last October for long weekend.
This is our first big getaway. We did a week at Pine My Rv resort in Pigeon Forge TN. We go there twice a year but did not get there last year at all. We checked out a lot of the damage from the wildfires last fall there.Click image for larger version

That is our site, and the view we had.
Now it is on to Destin FL for a week. Drove from TN to FL on Easter Sunday. We are in a very nice rv resort. Love it here, last pic is site in Destin.Click image for larger version

What campground are you in at Destin? Looks really nice!

We usually go to pine Mt also. Very convenient!

Enjoy your trip. Ft Walton, near Destin, is one of our favorite places to vacation. We need to get our camper headed that way one day.

I'll have to get to Pigeon Forge soon, that looks like the perfect campsite!

DW and I are trading in our 2011 Cedar Creek 34 SATS on a 2017 Cedar Creek Hathaway 34RL2. We are supposed to pick up the new one about the end of April. This sure been a long month. Because of health issues, we did very little traveling last year. We are hoping to travel more this year. We are going to try to spend some of the winter in Arizona this year.

No I have not weighed it. We live in it fulltime and this is the first time it has been out. It goes to the dealer May 2 for some minor warrenty work. I will have it done then. I saw you post on the weight tickets. I will post mine when I get them. I put air bags on my f350 to help level it. She pulled an held it back great. Did jelico mt on i75 from KY to TN with no problem.

My dually came with 4.10. last year I had spider gears in rear start spauling and I changed to 3.73. I can tell a large difference in the mountains.

I would agree with that. For right now I am staying with what I got. Only making two outings a year till I retire. Then we will travel a lot and then I will upgrade to a f450. With the hauler bed.
