2011 Cedar Creek 36RE Touring Edition Wrinkles

I posted in the main Forest River forum but thought maybe better to ask here with owners.
I’m looking at buying a 2011 Cedar Creek 36RE Touring Edition and noticed some wrinkles on the front storage wall. I can’t go look at it yet as it’s 9.5 hrs drive 1 way. Nothing is open to ask.

Anybody seen this before?

These two pictures are two different units with what appears to be the same issue.

Any insight would be appreciated.

It looks like delamination/water damage. It’s nothing that’s going to get any better — only worse. Only you can decide if it is something that you can live with and get repaired, but you really need to work out for sure what caused it because the delamination is just the part of the problem that you can readily see.

If I were you, I wouldn’t even consider going to look at it because I wouldn’t want to buy something with a problem like this. But I’m not you and you may have the time to deal with getting it fixed, and I don’t know how good of a deal you are getting on this unit, and if the discount you are getting would be enough to fix it.

The only only time I saw something like that was in a repair shop in Indiana. The washer had an issue and caused extensive water damage to the front storage area. The shop had to gut and rebuild the whole front area.

Another thing that comes to mind.. wonder if it has a propane generator behind the door and it was not vented properly?

I agree with Bruce. Take a pass on that unit unless you want a big project to fix it yourself.

The top picture unit had a Combo W/D and the lower picture had a stacking W/D.
That might be the common issue as above that area is exactly where they are located.

2012 36re

For what it’s worth , We have for sale our 2012 36RE with King Bed , Slide toppers on all , 6 point Hydraulic leveling , Ect. in Excellent condition for $25,000. USD. We are in the Watertown New York region. So you have an Idea to compare to . No water damage but no washer/dryer either ! Sounds like that’s the issue .

We have a 2010 36RE. It doesn’t have any of that damage, but it doesn’t have a washer dryer either. Run, don’t walk☹️

We have a 2013 Cedar Creek 36CKTS Touring that looks exactly the same colors. We do not have this damage but we don't use the washer dryer hook up either.

Do any of you with the same unit have the paint codes.

Would greatly appreciate it. I have some touch ups I will need paint for.

Paint Codes

We have a 2013 36CKTS the colors look the same in your picture here are our codes:
353H1 - I believe this is the black
301H4
315C4
318B1
This is Sikkens paint which I believe Forest River no longer uses. You should be able to Google for Sikkens dealers. If you just need touch up paint go to paintscratch.com. We bought paint from a store in Springdale Arkansas and it was verrrry expensive.

Hope this helps.
