2013 Cedar Creek

The paint on the back end above the bumper of my 2013 camper has oxidized. Is there any thing out there that can restore it back to the original color?

How bad has is oxidized? Just a yellow haze or totally discolored? If it hasn't gotten to out of hand a good cleaner wax and buffer does wonders. How about some pictures so we can help further.

Next time I am at the unit I will take a picture. I can tell you this, it is deeper when a yellow haze. If I take a rag with a wax with a deoxidizer and rub really hard I think the color comes back a little. Do you think using a buffer would do the trick?

Yes a buffer and the right compound will shine it up again. But it will probably just fade again. I had both my caps painted and the problem is gone

We had it painted at a body shop that could fit our trailer. But if did not have it done their I would have taken it to an rv body shop

It's not paint it's colored gelcoat. You can buff it out but it won't last long.. Try a big truck body/paint shop. They will have a big enough paint booth.

My front cap was faded badly the first year that I had it. CC was standing by the fixes pretty well if you went to the right person. A lot of caps got replaced. My dealer had a professional boat painter repaint mine (with imron, if I recall correctly). It looks fantastic and that was four years ago, or a bit more. Covered under warranty. Sounds as if you got one of the many poor quality caps. Give CC a call, couldn't hurt.

I have a 2015 with factory brown cap. 2nd time fade began, I was just out of warranty and they offered me a new cap in either brown or oyster ( same color as rig) I chose oyster with GREAT, no fade, results.

I was told a couple years ago by CC they would not do anything about my 2014 fading cap as I am the second owner.

I have a price from Orvan to replace the cap and am wondering what some of you have paid to paint and install new decals. A new cap is rather pricy...
