2021 Cedar Creek Hathaway 36CK2

After weeks of researching and hundreds of miles of driving to look at different floor plans we picked one that wasn't even initially on our list Kept going back and forth between Cardinal & Cedar Creek (after we eliminated Grand Design,Alpine & Montana from consideration). We felt like Cedar Creek offered us the best in fit, finish, construction and amenities than all the others. Also my wife thought it would be pretty behind our new black Ram duallyWe pick up our new Cedar Creek Hathaway 36CK2 August 3rd from Couch's RV nation in Ohio.Dreading driving through Memphis,Nashville, Louisville & Cincinatti traffic, but really looking forward to the new 5th wheel ! Thanks to everyone who gave me insight and recommendations with our search. Happy camping everyone!

Nice choice of both trailer and TV you can't go wrong with them!

I would not worry about the traffic in those cities I have pulled through all of them just make sure your navigator is on board and knows when to tell you to get in the proper lane.

I have towed through worst cities like Chicago and the I80/I94 corridor in Gary IN. Now that is an experience, I have had an 18 wheeler in front, on the drive side, passenger side and in back of me all going 60 to 65 MPH. Just hopping no one tries to stop suddenly or change lanes on me.

Congrats on your new unit.

You probably could have picked it up at the factory and then you could have taken two miles down the road to Amish Family RV. Orvan would have made sure everything was done right. If you need any warranty, enhancements or changes done, Orvan's is the place to have it done.

We have the 2020 36CK2 got it from Couchs as well and love it. 700 mile tow back to NY but saved alot of money. Try to schedule a trip to Orvans before your 1 yr. warranty is up and have him go over your rig. I did the trip to indiana and it was well worth it, a bunch of stuff straightened out under warranty and paid for his upgrades. Congrats and happy trails.

We took our 2019 34RL2 straight from Couch's to Orvan...of course we made our appointment with him much in advance...based on the delivery date to Couch's. Luckily, it was delivered one day after estimated delivery....so we had nothing to tell Orvan was wrong. He went over it and found some things that would have probably been issues 3 or 4 years down the road...He was fantastic. He did spent a good deal of time aligning 2 of our slides.

He's worth the drive.

Good Luck enjoy that Creek.

The drive is no big deal. Avoid Cincinnati traffic. The endless construction. Not bad if planned around rush hour. The loop around the city is easy most of the time. No traffic. Only 3-4 miles longer than downtown. Nashville is nasty 3:30 to 6 pm. No easy way around. Louisville is easy. Snyder bypass.

Just avoid rush hours.

Our PDI at Couches was easy. Our Hathaway 34RE was near perfect. One cable to the stereo was not connected. Easy when we found it.

Take your new square drive screwdriver and bungee cords. Doors come open while traveling. The slides will then tear them off! Rough Roads.

Take a look at running I 55 North at Memphis to I 155 to Union City Tn.( if you have the time Discovery Park Here is great! also Reelfoot Lake formed in 1812 during the big earthquake) then to Fulton KY and pick up the Purchase Parkway. Run it to Lexington KY and pick up I 75 North. You will miss Memphis, Nashville and most of Lexington (if I remember right). Lots of construction around both cities. I 65 N out of Nashville is terrible. The Western Ky Parkway (Purchase Parkway) will be one long good 4 lane divided all the way. No cities, no tolls two years ago. While in the Dayton, Ohio area check out the National Air Force Museum.

Congrats on the new 5th wheel. We bought a 2018 CK2 when we retired and we love it. It's a great floorplan for a couple (not so good for more than that). We've got about 150 camping days on ours and although we've had a couple issues, warranty picked them up.
