22 Cedar Creek Rear temp sensor reads 90 when it's 72

I found that the thermostat reads 90 at the rear of the RV and 72 in the bedroom. The reason is, when the sun pounds on the rear window, the heat comes through and gets trapped under the rear cabinet shelf. Well the thermostat sensor is dead center under the cabinet. So it's actually about 73 back there but because of the trapped heat the sensor reads 90 thus the A/C would run continually unless you physically change the temp control. So I removed the protection cap, drilled a hole in the molding under the cabinet, fed the line through and for the exposed wire under the cabinet I used a plastic wall piece that hides phone/cable lines. The sensor needs to be slightly out of the drilled hole facing up. Sensor now reads 72 front and 73 back.
Another issue I found is the a/c louvers themselves are not adjustable. The cans can turn but it makes no difference. On my rig the rear A/C air duct flows from the rear to the front. Well the louver design forces all the air to the front. I put a piece if plastic on the front portion of the louver, now the air goes to the back as well.
Hope this helps with anyone experiencing the same issue.

Yep... both of these things were poor designs by CC.

Our rear temp sensor is the same under the cabinet. You have to chase it all day long or the A/C runs constantly when it doesn't need to.
In 2023 they relocated the rear sensor to the interior wall near the door.

Photos of your mods may help those looking to do the same.

What a weird place to put the sensor. Ours is mounted on the wall. I wonder why CC did that.
