Most folks pulling CC are using 3500ís either dually or single wheel. They are heavy and have a heavy king pin. Your choice of brand because everyone has their favorite brand.

I have a 2018 CC Champagne 38EL towing it with a 2017 Ford F-350 dually Lariat package. Great RV and great Tow Vehicle.

I have the 2018cc 38el. Tow with a 2017 F-350 CC SB Lariat 6.7. Love the new rig tows awesome! Hope you love yours as much as we do!
If a dually would fit in the garage I would opt for that. Just for the sake of just a little more stability.
Good luck with the new rig!

We like almost everything about our Champagne. We pull it with a 3500 Chevrolet Crew Cab DRW. Hopefully, you will enjoy yours just as well. Are you full time?

We have recently found one problem. Our previous fivers all had the water lines for the washer in the bedroom. The Champagne has the lines in the front bay and ours froze. When we discovered that, we put a small heater in the area.

Otherwise, it is a great floorplan with lots of good features.

If you have the 18" tires, you gain 800# over 16" E rated tires. I have only pulled mine 400 miles, but it felt solid as a rock. I weighed the truck with two passengers, heavy slide hitch, and full tank to get my load capacity. I will weigh everything on my next trip to see if my estimations are close.

From my research the 5th wheel tow capacity of the SRW Short Bed is 15,000. If that is correct the GW on the 38EL is 18,000 and almost 15,000 empty.

I think I was looking at conventional towing and not 5th wheel. My mistake.

I have a 17 38EL, my dry weight is 14600 ish, my load weight is 16400 ish.

I have pulled mine about 4000 miles without any issues. I pull mine with an 08 F350 Extended cab long bed that I added lift master 5000 airbags. Just take my time and watch everything around me. You should be fine.

I am full time and love the 38EL. We are in an area that has had 13 days on a row below 25 for the highs and + or - a few degrees of 0 at night. Have not had a frozen line yet. Like freebird said, have to put heater in front compartment.

Enjoy and happy new year of camping.
