3RD Air

Hi all new to this forum but not to the wonderful world of RVing. I'm just about to purchase a 2018 Champagne 38EL and it is listed with the 3rd Air conditioner option. Can anyone tell me can you use all 3 at same time time to cool? How many t-stats are ther?Does anyone out there have this coach? And are you happy with with it? I currently have a Keystone Alpine 3500re that we have had great luck with. The 38el has been our dream coach to own and we found a dealer that wants to work with us on the deal. Any comments good or bad would be much appreciated!!!!!!
Thanks!

We have one on order. Should be ready to pick up in a week or two. We saw one in Indiana at the FROG International Rally two years ago. Wife fell in love with it and you know how that goes. Can't wait.

CC's with 2 ac units just have 2 zones, 1 thermostat. But the ones with 3 (Champagne or otherwise) ac units have an actual Power Management System to monitor and turn on/off each unit as needed. Just one ductwork throughout coach regardless of which one(s) is/are on.

I have the 38EL with 3 a.c. units. It gets you the power management system, which not only monitoring the ac but all your power. It comes with 1 thermostat, and a temp sensor in bedroom. Thermostat has 2 zones. If you get the heat pump you can put zone 1 on auto and set temp to 68 degrees and it will use ac during the day when it get warm and change over to heat pump at night when it cools down, and it it get really cold and heat pump is not effective then the furnace kicks on. Zone 2 runs the bedroom.

They will all 3 run just fine. I had all 3 running today with 29 amps on one leg and 26 on the other leg of my "50 amp" service.

Newbie here. Enlighten me. Why is there a debate. Is it not just the facts?

Is 50 amp RV just 20 amps total over a 30 amp or is it 2-50 amp legs that can handle 100 amps combined?
