Bed Lift Screws Popped

The title says it all... Opened the bedroom slide today in prep for a trip out next week and noticed the rug in the closet slide was sticking up, looked around and didn't see anything under it, but as I turned around I see the lift sitting on the floor with 2 of the screws (3rd was missing).

Fix was only 10 minutes and good to go now.... probably as it should have been done.

Had the same problem on my 12 36CKTS. Same fix but under warranty so the dealer did it. Are your struts on the outside of the bed frame?

Yes on the outside - MDF so just about good as compressed cardboard....

Same thing with our 38FL..... fix was easy, but just one more bugaboo to deal with

Quick question. We have the 34RLSA, with the lifts on the inside. I just performed the same repair as you, but now I can't get the bed to come back down. Is there something I need to do to decompress the struts to get the bed back down?

Did you put the bolts through the same holes? Had no problem once screwed in in went right back down.

Figured it out. Because I changed the geometry a little bit, to close the bed one has to push down on the exact spot where the new fasteners are. Closes no problem now.

I had to move location just a little bit because the factory whimpy screws really trashed the underside of that fiber board.
