Bedroom slide out stuck open

38EL Less than a year old. Slide out scoots in about 2 inches and appears to be jamming up in the rear slide guide. Anyone have this happen? Frustrated... Packed up and looking forward to a relaxing 3 day president day weekend at San Luis Pass, Galveston Island, then this. Lost deposit and a lost weekend. Whatever... FR very helpful the next Monday (presidents day) and FR roadside assistance coming out, but WTH? on a less than one year old 5er? sheesh And, yes, have checked for ANY obstructions, all switched are go, hydraulic pump operating, it is simply jamming up in one of the two slide out guides under the bed....

Was the slide fixed since your thread on 2/17? And now it is not working again?

Just today the tech came out. He did the same thing that member Elkrun had mentioned in a post thread about a year ago. jumpered around the control module to brown wire contact and was able to slide in. Apparently, the American Controls Technology GS-RLM-54 "brain" is defective. Seeing about obtaining a replacement.

So, apparently, the hydraulic motor will work, but the hydraulic cylinder which is activated open by the brown wire does not open. There is just enough hydraulic pressure to bring the slide in about two inches before the hydraulic system completely binds up (over-heating the motor in the meantime).

So my initial thought about being somehow jammed in the slide guide was wrong. Besides making about every rookie mistake in the book (trees, signs, hitching), I am also getting an experience lesson in the hydraulic system.

Sorry you are having issues.
Hope you get them resolved.

The silver lining to these kind of issues is that it is a reminder to everyone they should learn what to do in case of emergency situations, (slide stuck/inop, jacks/stabilizers inop, etc.) so you can still salvage a weekend or your trip without having to cancel or lose money.

Thanks. I am learning the hard (read that "expensive") way. This old dog has many new tricks to learn!
