Blinds

We own a 2012 Cedar Creek 6th wheel. All of a sudden the strings are starting to break in them. In the last six months, we now have three broken. These have two shades that pull up. I've seen repair kits but look very complicated. I'm sure new ones will cost an arm and a leg. If you have had this issue what advice could you give us?
