Cedar Creek Champagne tires

Does anyone know what brand of tires come on the 2018 Cedar Creek Champagne?

Westlake Tires

In 2011 it was the tenth largest tire maker in the world, with $4.26 billion worth of sales. Hangzhou Zhongce manufactures a variety of tires for cars, trucks, motorcycles, scooters, bicycles, tractors, ATVs and other vehicles. Tire brands produced by the company include Chaoyang, Goodride and Westlake.

I had Westlake tires on my first Creek and they were okay. The Cedar Creek I have now has Goodyear G614 and they are great. They are almost three years old and more than forty thousand miles and look great. I saw another Cedar Creek at the rally that I really like and it has Westlake tires on it and I have nothing against Westlake tires but they would only stay on camper until I could get the Goodyear tires on. I like the Goodyear tires.

I have Westlake tires on my 2016 34RL Cedar Creek now. They are three years old and have 14,000 miles on them. I will be replacing them next year and will be researching tires early next year as what to replace them with.

We took delivery of our Champagne in February and it has Westlake. In 90 days we put 13,000 miles on them. No issues.

Tires are soooo controversial is almost as bad as politics [emoji23]. What you have to HOPE FOR is no BLOWOUT; regardless of NAME.
Cost me $2000 + on last rv. Looked new, morning pressure was great, tire minder read normal, 2 years old, BAM; tread separation in 1 minute shredded tire and threw it up under my coroplast undercover; ripped out fender skirt, ohhh, not pretty. Thanks to the 2 rolls of GORILLA TAPE; and a lot of praying
( no spare, Sunday morning; no tires anywhere on or around the Florida Turnpike area near Disney,
Made it back to Atlanta where I dropped it off at the rv dealership and they performed a miracle. [emoji106]
I think my brand was Chop suey"
I envision ALL Chinese tires made on the same line. On the other hand, MOST PEOPLE NEVER HAVE AN ISSUE. [emoji256]

Add Sailun to your search. My new Heartland Bighorn has these tires. They put them on all Bighorn's and Landmarks now. I have not hear of any blowouts or failures at all in the Heartland community. Some have replaced the famed Goodyear G series with them as well.

Actually [emoji23][emoji23]no SPARE. But, STILL camped SOUTH OF ATLANTA
and went through at 11am ish in event of possible breakdown. I live 20 miles NE of Atlanta. You do not want to be broken down roadside after dark. Those stories you read about are true.

I'm like the Boy Scouts, be prepared. I always carry two spares, one for the truck and one for the camper. The only way I'm changing my Goodyear G614 is when they wear out is another set of Goodyear G614. The Cedar Creek I'm looking at buying someday comes standard with Westlake tires which will only be on the new camper until I can get to the tire shop to install the Goodyears. But buy what you like

I have to ask, why no spare?

I also have West Lake tires that came on our 2017 34RL2. We have put about 8,000 miles on them cross-country and Florida to FROG rally and all is good. My plan was to run these for no more than 2 years then change out.
Right now, the only other G rated tire that I can find is the Goodyear G614, so if there is something else out there please let me know.

Side note: I took the CC factory tour 2 weeks ago and the General Manager (can't remember his name) said that the government "down rated" the G614 so CC had to go with the West Lake to stay legal because the tire rating must be 110% of the axel rating, such as 7,000 lbs that most of us here have. In a dual wheel configuration I don't see either of these tires rated at 110%

And finally, for those keeping close score, the G614 is an LT tire and not ST.

I took the tour too and that's what he told us. But don't you think that all the Cedar Creeks sitting on dealer lots with Goodyear tires on them was in violation. The reason was the Goodyears costs more than three hundred dollars a tire and what does a Westlake tire cost. Cedar Creek is no different than all the other manufacturers, they would sell there soul to save a buck. Another reason Cedar Creek pushes residential refrigerators is the cost difference. I could go on but this thread is about tires
