Cedar Creek Customer Service Kudos

During the 2013 International FROG Rally, we decided to have a Winegard Trav'ler installed on our 34RLSA. The install went well, although we didn't have a Direct TV receiver with us. So when we returned home from the rally, we hooked the receiver up to the satellite port in the LR and nothing. No satellite signal. After many calls to the installer, and some troubleshooting, everything pointed to the coach coax wiring. This prompted a call to Cedar Creek Service and Customer Support. I was sent a wiring schematic for the 34RLSA, and found the installer had connected to the wrong cable. After a quick reconnect to the correct cable, all was well. I'd like to thank Mike Antal at Cedar Creek Service and Customer Support for all his assistance. This World Class support is why Forest River has the great reputation and brand loyalty it has today.

We to have had great costumer service. The door style broke on the door that covers the washer and dryer and within a couple of weeks a new door delivered by FedX was at our doorstep, no charge for the door and no shipping. THANKS to Forest River!!

Yeah, Mike Antal is a good guy. During our tour of the CC factory, I had a question and was lead to him for a quick and correct answer. He has no shortage of knowledge and truly enjoys working with the end consumer.

We are up here now, went by plant to talk about some things on our unit that I had talked with Mike in August. Found out Mike was gone, Bobby just left, but Mandy is back in parts. Talked with the service techs, they look at our unit, then took me to Jeff Holmes, he is kinda filling in for everybody. Jeff laughed and said he was answering phones up till that week, now he is trying to learn everything, give him a chance, he's green. LOL
Anyway, we are setup to go in on Monday the 21st to get the things done we need. The good thing is the same people are building the units and doing the repairs/warranty work. Just a people change above them.

God bless,
Mike

Sorry to hear Jeff is only filling in. I just had dealings with him, and couldn't have asked for better service.

cc customer service Kudos

I would add vary positive results in working with Jeff over a vary frustrating seal problems. Although it took while to resolve to this point, Jeff was vary positive to work with.

As I posted we are in Goshen and were going to take our unit in to CC service center. We got it back late Thursday. Everything done, timely and very professionally!! We were having flexing problems with the upper deck. They removed the fiberglass under the upper deck, and front cap. Lippert came and welded a "bunch" of steel in it, per Irv's direction in the service center, would guess they added about 150-200#'s of steel. Then the CC service guy's put it all back together, even have a smooth sidewall, were it had bulged out 3/4" under the front side-out. Everything is more than fine!! I came and went as the repair's were being done, they talked about what they were doing and what they were going to do, I was kept informed the whole time, also got pictures as it progressed.

Our hats off, to Cedar Creek and the priority they have for customer service!!

God bless,
Mike

Mike, as you probably know, the mantra on FRF is "It didn't happen unless there's pictures"!

So you have to learn. No doubt about it.

When you're typing up a post, in all those controls for the text box there is a paper-clip icon for attachments handling. Press this button.

That brings up a dialog that allows you to select the Files (aka pictures) you want to include in your post. Once you've selected the files you want from your computer disk, you have to press the "Upload" button at the right side of the area where you specified all the files.

At this point, if you do nothing else, the pictures will appear at the end of your post. If you want to insert them "in-line" with text around them, you have to press the little arrow next to the paper-clip icon. That will allow you to insert the pictures where you want them.

Now go for it! We know you can do it.

Was there a diagnosis of the causal factor that made you a majority stockholder in a steel company?

The bugle was the aluminum frame, all the "cleat's" were broken. They pushed out the fiberglass and repaired the "cleats", then glued it all. Then re-bonded the fiberglass frame and inside wall. Very impressive what they did.

This is looking into the sidewall aluminum frame setting on the 1/8" steel on the steel frame. You can see some of the result of flexing and the sidewall moving up and down, with the pinbox/frame going the other direction.

Cedar Creek did an excellent job. Irv in the service center re-engineered the project and did an bang-up job. Great work, done in a timely and professional way. Cedar Creek does show their priority for customer service. Our hats off to them!!!!

Hope this helps and God bless,
Mike

Ducky,
Started out, we were over weight. After scaled, that did not float. I'm still wondering if it was a result of the axle problems we had last year, when the axle completely flipped over, but can not prove anything. So I assume then it would be an "act of God", LOL. Anyway, CC did the repair's and made it right.

Ahh. I noticed you have a Moryde pin box. Based on what you have experienced, do you think a TrailAir pin box or something like a Hensley Trailer Saver hitch could have prevented the catastrophic failure?
