Champagne and continuous water heater

My 38EL has the continuous water heater. I have yet to ask if it is gas/electric. A Yu ouTube video states they are combo but video unit is different brand than mine.

I don't have a on demand hot water heater but they run off of your LP. Some people love them other people hate them. I don't like them because they only use propane. There is only two of us and we never run out of hot water with our 12 gallon tank. Campground rates are high enough but I get to use the campground electric for my hot water heater. Some people take the on demand hot water heater out and install a electric/LP hot water heater. If all you do is stay at full hookups campgrounds the on demand will probably work great. Try it out and see what you think, there are people on this forum that have them and like them and they will give you some tips on how to get the most out of them

What brand and model? I have yet to see an on-demand water heater that was gas OR electric. My Girard heats water only with gas, but needs electric for switches and sensors.

Size of Unit

I purchased and just received Girard GSWH-2 Tankless Water Heater. I have a 2014 FR3 30'. The Tankless is 13 x 13. The existing unit is smaller by approx 1". Any experience here. Can the hole be made larger or maybe another unit ?

Help !!!!! Bear

New trailer? You have a spec sheet or manual on every device, including water heater. And model is stamped on it somewhere.

I have 38EL. It has the Suburban water heating unit. I would imagine you have the same.

Water heater

Just looked at a 2017.5 Champagne and they have ditched the suburban tankless water heater for girard tankless water heater with controls to adjust it in the bath. Tires are Westlake 17.5 with 8000# axles. Some other changes were made but unit now has a 18000# gross weight.

Champagne

We are enjoying our 2016 Champagne and live in it full time. Our only weak area have been the surbuban tankless water heater and Westlake tires that are not round and cause the unit to vibrate when we travel have had wheels balanced but no help whatsoever. We are now trying to get this problem fixed. Had to Velcro cabinets to keep them closed and find a go way to keep refrigerator doors closed which we did.

Suburban IW60 Heater Problems

Just curious, We're not full timing as yet. But have stayed for a month in ours. No problems with our heater. I had installed the remote controller, and bumped the temp to 125. One issue that does concern me with this type of heater is the maintenance. I'm well versed on these systems and they do require waterside heat exchanger cleaning periodically depending on the quality of water.
Curious what type of problems you've had. I found a lot of issues with the Girard model Version 1. I see they have version 3 out now.
