Dirt Devil Issue

While spring cleaning our 2017 Cedar Creek 34 RE, that includes the built in Dirt Devil dual action sweeper, the kick plate side worked as it was supposed to, but when I inserted the hose, the motor came on as it was supposed to, but no suction at all. I couldn't see any issues, and wondered if anyone else had heard of it. search of the forum didn't turn up anything I could find. Thanks!

Odd.

I took all that hose and stored it in the garage (at home). We got a real vacuum, a Shark, and keep it in the closet where the original hose was. Once that hose expands, it won't ever retract again. And to use that thing, you have to get into basement, remove a bunch of stuff in the way, slide back that panel, open up the Central Vac, empty it out.......no thanks. We'll stick to conventional vacuums.

I found in mine they never installed the vacuum bag. The vacuum bag was still in the package in the bag area. You might check to make sure the bag is installed and something is not blocking it.

My bag wasn't installed either. But I had suction. Not sure (?) that would cause no suction.

I suspect a hose obstruction.

Checked for an obstruction, no luck. I'll keep checking and make an update if I find anything. Thanks.
