dometic ac

I was on the roof today, and looking at the ac's to see if they needed cleaning. I noticed that the rear one says on the label that its a 13500, I had assumed that I got the 15000, as to my future travel will be out west. The front states 13500, which I can live with. Where could I run the ser # to confirm its a 13500. Tried calling the dealer, but closed now. Thanks

If you remove the cover you'll find somewhere in there the serial and model number. You can cross reference the model number in a google search. I'd be a little surprised if a CC had two 13,500s, but anything is possible.

remove the trim collar in side and there is a sticker with model number. My build sheet says my rear is 15 and the front is 13.5 but the part number for the front one is 15k. have not yet checked the rear. who knows maybe I lucked out and got two 15k.

The label on the rear one says 13500 and there's black streaks coming out if it. It still blows cold air. Seems like I recall some other people having streak problems. Maybe tomo6 I will pull the cover off.Click image for larger version

My roof near our rear A/C looks just like this. Planning on cleaning it up this weekend.

Wonder what causes it....

wonder where I could run my vin #, to see what it came with.
Talked to the dealer, he sort of stalling, waiting to hear back from the rep. A 42' coach, you would think a 15000 would be the very least they would put on.

Have you thought about calling Cedar Creek and asking them nicely to check the build sheet for your VIN? Give them the serial number to make sure it matches what it was built with in case the dealer swapped it for somebody else.

Ya I think I will call the dealer, then call cedar creek if I get the run around from the dealer. Thanks

Ok but the dealer probably won't have the serial numbers off the units as they were installed. If they pulled one from yours you'll never know. Cedar Creek will know exactly what unit was put on your RV when it was built.

I sent my vin #s to cedar creek, on the build it shows I ordered the 13500, in the bedroom. But the 15000 is standard with the Hathaway Edition. So I need to reach out to the dealer, and set up a date to have the correct one installed.

Be sure the dealer knows that CC has authorized the replacement at NO cost to you.....since it would appear they made the mistake.

If the dealer doesn't have a 15K AC unit in stock, I would hold off taking your rig to them until they have one available...you could be without your trailer for some time otherwise.

Good Luck.

I did have some email contact with a sales lady from the factory, they said to contact the customer service, so I sent the email chain to the web site, along with the 2016 CC brochure stating the Hathaway edition comes standard with the 15000 main AC. Hopefully they will tell me to go to the factory, or dealer to get the correct AC installed.
