dometic rm2852 problem

Last fall it quit running in london, it ignites but doesn’t get any more than that. Replaced thermocouple still nothing changes but would work on a/c. Ran it on Easter with same results, now it has quit cooling completely. the cooling unit heats up but fridge fins get hot. Can’t see any yellow residue, Any suggestions?

Have you cleaned the flue, and baffle?

You could try the take it out and turn it upside down for a day trick.

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. have you kept the unit level? if the burner starts and the electrical works but it doesn't cool something has either leaked out or is plugged up. Might be time to explore getting a new cooling unit. I replace the one in my class A with the amish cooling unit (heaver piping) myself explore that option. What year is your rig? Warranty?

Yes i’ve had it level while trying to get it running. Going to try turning upside down to see if it will fix it

If you are going to the trouble of removing it and turning it upside down you half the hard half the work done if you want to replace the cooling unit. its not a difficult job and half the cost of a new unit (the amish cooling unit is far better then OEM in my opinion) let the forum know how thing go and good luck

Yep, it's just a pilot sized flame. And there's no adjustability to it. It's either on or off.

Is the flame staying lit? The pilot sized flame should be right under resivoir that boils the ammonia. If it is working on ac it should work on gas as they both do the same thing, boil the ammonia... check to see if the flame burns continually..

49 seems a little high. Have you adjusted the thermistor slide on the fins? Is it different on electric versus gas?

You might want to buy one of these to monitor the temp. It will record the high and low temps.
