Extension crank

Dumb question of the day.

On our new Cedar Creek RE34, we found one of those 4' long extended crank handles under the bed.

What is it for? We have hydraulic leveling and slides.

No,one at the PDI mentioned it.

Most likely it is your spare tire crank

Itís for your spare tire and itís something you need to check occasionally. My spare actually came loose. Nowadays I make sure the spare is tight

Mine came loose too, so now I check it more often. I have also run a ratchet strap across it as a back up. Works great.

tomkatb ... just to put forth some info when you mentioned hydraulic slides and levelers. For emergency use if your hydraulics won't work electrically ... you'll need a 1/4" allen bit to go in a cordless drill to power your slides or landing gear. It doesn't come with your unit. You'll also need an 5/32" allen wrench to use on the slide or level up valves to turn the set screw clockwise to allow manual operation. Page 47
