Fantastic Fan screen

I want to clean the screen on one of our fans. It appears to somehow be removable but I have tried to the point I feel I'm going to break it. Has anyone removed these?

I had to zoom in on your photo to see what I wanted.

If you look closely where the label is.....you’ll see a raised portion to start prying the screen rim down with your finger. It’s kinda hard the very first time, but loosens up a bit every time after. Take your time.

Good luck

The screen does fit tight. An offset screwdriver makes it easier to get started. You need one with the straight blade perpendicular with the handle like the image below.

Great news Doug.

In your case I would install the screen so the raised lip is in the corner opposite the rain drop symbol. This way it provides lots of room to get your finger under the lip. Also, it helps if you try to push towards the Center of the screen while you’re starting to pry it loose.

A paint can opener works good too:

Take note that the other end has other uses too

Keep it hanging on a hook somewhere so it doesn't get lost.
