Fireplace Problems

I have a 2018 Cedar Creek Hathaway 36CK2. Since I have owned this 5th wheel I have had the same fireplace problem. It will run anywhere from 15 minutes to an Hour when an error message E3 pops up. Indicating it is over heated. I have tried opening the drawer it is mounted in and it didn't help. Camping World replaced the blower assembly and that didn't help, then replaced the fireplace with a new one and it still has the same problem. Anyone have any recommendations? The fireplace manufacturer is sending me another blower assembly.

Wondering if the cavity where it mounts is large enough? To allow it to cool?

Had the same problem last year. The manufacturer sent me a new blower, which I installed and have had zero problems since

Thanks for the help but it is mounted in a drawer and I pulled the drawer out so the fireplace was completely out of the cabinet and the problem persisted.

Wonder if CW actually replaced the blower at all?

I have the same unit that was delivered in Sept 2017. I haven't had any noticeable issues with the fireplace yet. Will definitely keep an eye on it. Hopefully the blower replacement will do the trick. Please let us know how it goes.

Good question Daycruiser, I have nothing but bad experiences with CW in Lubbock TX. I haven't had many issues but they have not been able to fix any of them, I have.

Did you contact Cedar Creek directly after the second fireplace did not work correctly? I have dealt with both my dealer and Cedar Creek directly with great results. My last issue was in Nov. 2018, I inquired about having the front and rear caps repainted due to fading of the caps. Since my unit was out of the 1 year warranty period bought new in May of 2015. I contacted Cedar Creek directly and than they worked with my dealer to get the caps repainted.

Here is the link that I used: Contact Us | Forest River RV - Manufacturer of Travel Trailers - Fifth Wheels - Tent Campers - Motorhomes

I believe Denise Davis has moved up in the corporation and no longer handles owner relations issues. I worked with a Shawna Short phone number 260-593-4000 Ext. 20321.

Brusso, ours is displaying E3 also, I called the manufacturer and they said the blower isn’t serviceable in our model (we have a Champagne like yours), so have to replace the whole unit.

I have a 2018 Hathaway 36ck2 and apparently it is serviceable. I don't have the persons name but the phone number is 866-611-1218. Maybe it is worth a call.

Thanks for the info, I will try to call it Monday. I have taken it apart and have found a replacement for it but it was the whole blower and heater element, for about $55. That is ridiculous that they told gr8dane777 that it not serviceable. I will have to see if I can find the part again.
