Forest River warranty

My 33RL is a 2015 bought new Jan 2016. That puts it passed the 1 year warranty period. However my shower surround developed 2 cracks that are not the fault of the manufacturer but clearly an installation problem. The screws into the plastic surround are clearly over tightened caused the plastic to crack. Forest river will not warranty this. Normally I have had good things to say about Forest River but I think they should have stepped up and covered this even though I'm over the warranty period.

Sorry to hear your issue. Seems that most all RV are thrown togther these days less you buy "second home on wheels" with a second mortgage to boot.

Noticed you took the screws out. If it works for you I would leave the screws out and seal the shower in with 4200 (3M marine) or a less agressive cailking, and then permenently seal the holes and cracks with some thing like 3M Marine Acryl-White Glazing Putty.

Once you get past the fact that it is broke and not build correctly just improve it and move to the next. There will always be a next....

If it was an installation issue, I would think it would've shown up during the PDI.

Just like all over tightened screws on plastic it takes a bit of time to crack away from screw. Also covered up by shower Aluminium glass track

There are people that do acrylic repair, maybe give them a try. Probably less than a few hundred to repair.

I have repaired it. Really not a problem. Hard to see repair but I know it there. 250.00 for new surround so I may order one just to have.
