As far as I know-they only run on Propane or 110 Volt power. If you have the correct inverter(From 12 volt to 110)-and a power source to run it-you should be OK.Check the power specs to make sure you don't burn anything up.

Will suck down the battery faster than it can be recharged. Use propane.

if your generator is only putting out 80 volts, you better not use it to power anything. You are just asking to replace something, other than the generator.

Make sure your battery is well charged, turn propane on and select "gas" on fridge. It should light up if all ok. If you have a residential fridge then it will not operate on propane, electric only.
Do you have this option:
Optional 18 cu. ft. stainless steel electric
residential refrigerator with invertor
If yes, then it is only electric.

If you push the auto button on your fridge, it will run on electric (120 Volt AC). If plugged in and gas (if you have the propoane bottel open) when you unplug.
Just remember to turn it off when you are a the gas station

pavetim, did you get an optional residential fridge/freezer? it would run off an inverter and requires a huge bank of batteries, if not on shore power.
if not, then your fridge/freezer is powered by either propane or 110v AC electric power.
are you saying that the dealer didn't show you how to run it on propane, during the PDI?

I think he has the residential fridge.
You can run the fridge on just the batteries but I do not think you will get much more then one day that way.

What does your Dealer say about you model? Should be in your 'paperwork'. (as a disclaimer... most camper 'paperwork' seems to be generic and applies to everything but what you have.... )

We're all guessing until Pavtim tells us if he's got a compressor fridge or
traditional RV ammonia evaporation fridge....

pavetim,
the residential fridge runs through your inverter. When you are on shore power the electricity passes through the inverter and powers the fridge directly. when you are
dry camping, the inverter is powered by four 6 volt deep cycle marine/golf cart batteries. I ran my whirlpool residential unit for 3 days on fully charged
batteries with no problem. However, if you have children or suffer from meal indecision, you may not achieve the battery economy necessary to dry camp for days. Additionally, if you have not installed the correct battery bank, you will not be able to run the fridge for long periods at all. When you are plugged into the TV your batteries should charge and keep the inverter powered up.
Note: This is a continuation of your earlier post regarding batteries. If nothing has changed since then, you are spinning
your wheels in the mud. Your unit has a label that reads your unit requires 4 6volt batteries. You are only asking for problems if you do not install what is required.

anyone that orders a residential fridge for their RV, has no business going dry camping or boondocking, unless they clearly understand how that kind of setup works.

Ok, you guys, listen up! A CC with a residential fridge is supposed to come with FOUR six volt batt's. They're wired in parallel series. Boon docking for three days is NOT uncommon. If a rig doesn't have FOUR batt's, the dealer cheated! We own a 2014, CKTS. We KNOW!

but the OP, if he has the residential fridge, is asking if it can run off the battery!
either the dealer did a massive failure setting the OP up or explaining how the setup works or the OP needs to get some education.

Short answer is yes, just need a bank of batteries and an operating invertor to power on 120vac. Need to repair or replace the gen set, it will damage any ac appliance at 75% voltage.

The res fridge WILL run on the batt's for about three days. There's a built in safety so the fridge compressor can't burn out.
Did you know there's a fail safe in the water heater? Yep. Ya can't burn the element even if there's no water in the tank, per the factory.

I still think the OP needs to be more concerned about the generator putting out 80 Volts than how long the fridge will run on batteries. Lots of stuff can be damaged at a huge expense.

Not sure i'd test that safety device with a spare element, LOL......
