The Sailun S637T has a longer history and a good rep. I bought them to replace the worn out Westlakes.

The Goodyear G614 has a lower weight load rating than the Sailun S637T (or Westlake) ST235/85R/16.

I would stay with the Westlake tires or upgrade to Sailun S637T.

I also switched to Sailun S637 tires for my Sanibel 5th wheel and have run them now for a little over two years. They are great tires, and run very well.

Jayco comes standard on my unit. Feel much more relaxed. Choice is yours Dawg. But for me I prefer Goodyear endurance. BTW cant wait till September. Ruff Ruff

Yes he did, the only part he missed on was Taskmasters are made in the USA. But he is on point for sure!

and looking at their building in Texas on Google Maps, I HIGHLY doubt they are made in Texas. Looks to me like they are simply a distributor of Chinese tires.

If you can actually see one of these tires, look at the DOT code. It will look like this:



The plant code is the 1st two characters after "DOT." Note that they could be numbers, letters, or both.

Then look up the plant code here to see where it was actually manufactured.

Taskmaster Tires are actually made in China. Taskmaster is actually called Taskmaster Components. They import the tires for the Trailer market.

According to E-Trailer, Taskmaster tires are made in China. They are imported by a company in Texas.

I am on my fourth year of using the OEM WESTLAKE ST235/85R16 load rated G tiers on my Cedar Creek. I will be replacing them this summer with a new set of WESTLAKE tires of the same size.

I have done extensive searches on this forum and other forums on failures of the ST 235/85R16 WESTLAKE load range G tires and have found none. That is not to say some have failed but I have not seen any when looking.

I do not want to hear will I know someone who had a tire failure. What I want are the actual people who had a tire failure. Describe to me what was the tire condition, how fast they were driving, and the weight of their trailer. Also was the tire under inflated or over inflated!

JIM34RL...Thank you, thats good to hear on your Westlakes. Yeah the ones that are on mine came with it, and they don't show a single bit of wear on them and there's probably 10K miles on them. However the date code shows they were made in 2015, so thats got me a little scared. They look great, no signs of dry rotting or anything the unit is stored in an enclosed building when not camping. So, I'm just not sure what the hell to do....

BLKSVT - I had concerns about the Westlake G tires that came with my signature RV...so I asked my fellow Cedar Creek RV Owners Club members about them....everybody that responded to me had good things to say about their Westlakes…..doing research, I found that Westlakes NOT rated at the "G" rating were China bombs....but the "G" rated tires had many good reviews.

I'm keeping mine but won't keep them as long as my old "E" rated Michelin XPS RIBs lasted (9 yrs) on my 2009 CC Silverback.

Lol! Roll tide...[emoji849] Thanks for the response. I think I may run these for awhile longer, I just don't see anything that alerts me to change them out right now. And after talking with my buddy, his Westlakes weren't G rated. Haven't heard any bad on the G rated ones I just have that inner fear going on..

Don't know how to make a recommendation without knowing the actual load on your tires (GAWR and fully loaded scale reading) You also didn't bother to tell us the Load Range of the Taskmaster which is critical information.

Actually, although made in China, the G-rated Westlake tires are pretty good. There’s probably not an urgent need to replace them.
