Hooking up directv to 2020 Cedar Creek Hathaway
Hi we purchased a 2020 Cedar Creek Hathaway in March. We are having a heck of a time getting the directv working to both TVs. One in bedroom and one in living room. Also, cannot get the stereo to work or tv to work thru stereo. Does anyone have a scamatic of how all the coaxing should be connected.

As far as a schematic of hooking up the tv to work in bedroom and living room there isn’t one. You might try calling a local rv dealership for help or a local electronic shop. I had a local rv dealership install my Trav’ler on top of camper and all that was showed to me which I promptly forgot. We love our Cedar Creek. Are y’all planning on attending the International Rally in Goshen IN ?

Don't have a CC but a 2018 Cherokee. Stereo wouldn't work with TV and I pulled the Stereo out to find it all wired Bass Ackwards. plugged everything in the correct way and it worked fine.

Cherlyn,
Welcome to the forum.
It seems every R/V is wired differently, even those of the same model. It just depends on how well someone was paying attention as it went down the factory line. As such, it makes this topic very hard to give accurate advice since every R/V is different. What may have worked for me, might not pertain to you at all.
As mentioned, schematics have been pretty much non-existent but there have been some reports of that getting better. You might want to contact the folks at Cedar Creek and see.
There are tons of prior posts on connecting satellite to a R/V so do a search of the forum and you'll see there are already lots of suggestions that might get you started in the right direction.
Here is one such search...
Hooking up Satellite
Satellite needs what is called a 'home run' coax cable (one with no splitters) to work properly. It make take some hands on investigating to figure it out.
Best of luck

trace all the cables into and out of the stereo. ours was not operable upon delivery. i had to correct where a couple of cables were plugged in.
as far as getting direct tv to work on multiple tv's we use a genie receiver, a wireless video bridge, and mini-genie receivers. this makes it very easy to have direct tv on any tv you have without needing cables between them.

I don't have directv in my RV, but I have it at home. My bedroom tv gets its signal from the main tv via a small wireless box, not the cable. I don't recall the name but it might solve your issue. Call directv customer service.

On your sat rvcr. on the back of it you should have one HDMI and yellow red an white Jacks.
2 ways to go. if you know what coax runs from your receiver area to the bed tv. you can buy a dvd converter $20-30 at Wally world. it will turn Y R W in to coax on channel 3 or 4. Then after its hooked up you run a scan on the bed tv and it will find ch 3 or 4 and you have the same show front and back.
OR, buy a wireless HDMI and it will Walkie talkie the tv show and audio to the back tv. However low priced versions of wireless HDMI are usually a waste of $. you need to be over $100-$150 FOR THE GOOD ONES.

What type of satellite antenna do you have? Was yours preinstalled by CC?

I was advised to purchase an RF Modulator @ Best Buy and it worked to get reception to all 3 TV's in my coach. Just follow instructions in packaging.

On my 2018 Hathaway the dear boys installed the arc cable between the tv and radio. Plugged into the tv.
However, the gentlemen forgot to plug the hdmi cable into the radio.
Because it is not easy. We had to pull the fireplace to plug it in.
I could plug our new subwoofer into the radio without removing the fireplace. Makes a world of difference.
We have the discontinued 34RE. Check that first.
The Jensen radio DVD player is less Than intuitive to work with.
In plain English, a Pain in the arse.
