Hot water heater help

I have a 2004 cedar creek. We de-winterized it. Put the plug in the water heater, hooked up the water and tested the heater. We had hot water. Now we are at the campground and no hot water.

Does anyone have suggestions of what to try? No visitors allowed, so I can't get any help with it.

Did you fill the WH? Turn the valves behind the WH. I hope you didn't turn the WH on electric without filling the WH. If you did you need a new heating element.

Gas on? Electric on?

Since you say you tested it at home and had hot water we assume it's full of water??
When you tested at home did you use LP gas to heat it or electricity??
Now that you're camping are you trying to heat with LP or Electric??
Maybe you figured it out and went to bed???

Hi everyone. Thanks for all the responses. Sorry I didn't reply sooner.

So, here's what happened. My old trailer had a switch inside for the electric ware heater. We never used it on propane. We just turned the switch on.

So, when I tested it at home, we turned on the switch that said water heater (after filling it ) and then we had hot water. It was a bit chilly at the time and we had the propane on for the heat.

When we got to the campground and turned the switch on, no hot water. We did not have the propane on. So the switch is for the propane. After watching a video, I found the switch on the tank for electric. It is tucked back in there good. It is really hard to push the switch, but both the propane and electric do work.

Also, there is only on switch in the water lines to cut the water on and off. No bypass. I guess it has a backflow inhibitor or whatever it is called.

I did read the how to section on here as well and that helped. I think I will take the time to work my way through some of the other how it's as well. I guess I should have done that before I asked, but you guys are always such a fountain of knowledge

Thanks again.

My two trailers both have had just one valve and a check valve. Very common set up. Suburban has the outside electric switch. Atwood does not. Suburban also uses an anode rod. Atwood does not.
