Hot water tank switch

We recenlty purchased a new to us 2010 Cedar Creek Cottage 40CFL. We cannot find the hot water tank switch. My parents have a 2020 CCK and there is an actual switch in the bedroom closet. Ours does not have one anywhere. Does anyone happen to know where the switch is? There is not a switch on the tank, that we can see. The only way we know how to turn it off is to switch off the breaker.

Thanks in advance

If it's a Suburban, the switch is on the face of the heater on the lower left corner. You have to look beyond some propane plumbing, etc.

Since it's a 'cottage' model, you may have a non typical R/V water heater.

Could you provide us with the make/model of the water heater?

We have the 40CR20 Destination. Like your parents' unit, ours is in the bedroom closet on the outside wall. The water heater is right outside that wall. If your WH is not in the same location, maybe it's right inside that wall, wherever that is. Just a thought....

If you don’t know where to look on the water heater, you can’t see the switch. It’s lower, left of center, and is behind a pipe.

This thread is about a destination/cottage trailer, which apparently has a residential WH.

X2 On our Suburban water heater it's a black rocker switch hidden behind some piping on the water heater. But we never touch it--we just use the breaker located on the panel under our frig.

This is a residential type water heater. It will be wired directly to the circuit breaker.

Yep, as was clearly stated earlier, the OP has a destination/cottage trailer that has a residential WH, NOT a RV water heater.
