Hydraulic Room Controls

For some reason when I turn one off the slides to off it still opens. Many times I wanted to open/close one slide. It the controls don't seem to work.

Are you talking the round screw control knobs?

Yes, the three black knobs where all the water controls are.

Those knobs are part of a hydraulic manifold. Push the the folded cover back so you can see the backside and make sure the factory tied it into the system. I'm assuming there should be one input and three outputs, one out put to each slide.

Are they just half turn? My turn several times until they close. Like turning off a water spigot.

Can you look behind the panel? On my 33IK there is a shield that is, I don't know how to explain, but kind of a half circle that you can move and see behind that wall. See if it is connected. If yes, you may have a fault manifold.

Are you stating the opposing slide only is opening with the main slide? Is the bedroom slide staying closed? It appears something is wrong with the opposing slide valve since it is not all the way off. It should be straight up and down like the bed room slide. Sometimes when the slides are out there is too much pressure and it is hard to turn the knobs. Have you tried opening all the slides and bring them back in then close the bedroom and opposing slide?

X2 on the hard to turn due to pressure. My valves tighten like a spigot and turn several times before closing or fully opening. I too find them hard to turn sometimes. To make them easy I just bump the retract/extend switch for a half a second or so to relieve the pressure. In other words if the slides are in and I find it hard to close valves I push the button to extend the slides for a half to one second. This relieves the pressure.

Ok, thank you for all the suggestions. I will try again to see that happens.

Ok, since we are on the subject of the manual slide knobs.

I noticed that when I shut off my main and bed room, then leave the opposing one on, the slide comes out but also the front jack on that side.

I was hooked up to the truck and needed to get something out of one of the cabinets so I just put the slide half way out.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Don't turn the knob to off and stop. Keep turning it until it comes to a stop. These are valves like a water spigot and must be turned all the way on or all the way off.

I was actually turning it to off before hitting the switch for the slides. I thought that's how it worked. Am I incorrect thinking that?

Do the valves stop turning at off? If no, keep turning until they won't turn any more. Like a water faucet.

Like dalford said, turn them until they don't turn anymore. They are valves, not switches.
