Inverter Fan running with unit shut off

I have a 2013 Cedar Creek Model 38RE with a Xantrex XM 1800 Inverter. It is hooked up to shore power and the unit is shut off. The fan comes on and runs intermittently. Is it normal to do this?

check if the charger portion of the unit is also shut off, if it is a inverter/charger. the model you have doesn't appear to be a charger, but that is what would cause that sort of behavior.

otherwise check the output voltage to see if it is really shut OFF.

The unit is off. There is no display on it. No output voltage. There is a battery switch located between the inverter and the batteries.

With the battery switch turned off, the fan does not run. Without the shore power hooked up, the unit appears to work OK. The display shows battery voltage and output voltage.

Don't know if the battery switch should be off or not and technically speaking I would think that it shouldn't matter.

Something is not adding up. The battery switch? Is that the battery disconnect switch located in your docking station? The fan is running. Do you just hear a fan or do you see the fan on the Inverter spinning? Sorry for all the Q's with no A's
The reason I'm asking is that the AC shore power is supposed to "pass through" when the switch is off.
