Inverter for refrigerator

Have a 5th wheel trailer. Residential refrigerator. Works good on power cord, but when unplugged the inverter never comes on. Checked all breakers and fuses. Also removed cover from rear panel and all wiring plugged in. Any ideas?

Open fuse to the inverter?
Dead Fridge Battery?
Open fuse from converter to Fridge Battery?

Have hydraulic leveling system on camper. It runs on the same batteries. Works fine even when not hooked to land line. Think batteries should be ok.

Might want to look at my post about a week ago regarding inverter and refrigerator. After working with factory the wiring diagram in the battery compartment for four 6 volt batteries is in correct. Bottom line the diagram ends up with two 12 volt batteries instead of increasing load by using all four 6 volts. Also the battery may not get charged from the converter in the diagram originally place in the battery compartment. I have a 2015 38RD and drove me crazy until I finally got this right from the factory. Inverter would not stay up since the batteries drained quickly due to two 6 volts instead of four 6 volts adding capacity. Let me know if you can find the post and I will repost the new diagram.

Batteries

Noticed from a different thread that you commented on that you a have a 2015 Cedar Creek 5th wheel w/ residential refrigerator. This unit requires 4 6v golf cart batteries, not 2 12V. Make sure the battery cables are connected in the proper order.

Dealer installed 2 12v batteries. Told me it's the same thing. No battery hold downs either.

There are other threads on this sites telling of similar problems with dealers not installing the 4 6v golf cart batteries. Inside of you battery compartment is a label that reads 4 6v golf cart batteries are required. Suggest you contact Cedar Creek to verify this. They will now exactly what you are talking about because they have got many calls on this same issue. Then do as others have done and went back and raised heck with that dealer. Dealers do that to make more money on the deal. One or two 12v batteries are cheaper that 4 6v.

The dealers installed the batteries on these campers and they will try to get by with the cheapest battery they can. My camper came with 4 6 volt batteries but they were not Trojans, they were cheap batteries. Soon I will replace them with Trojans, plus a battery water system, on my batteries you can't see the water level in the batteries. My batteries will not hold a charge very well. I am going to have to take the batteries out and check the water, not easy. It looks like Cedar Creek could have found a better place to install the batteries at. The new Trojans will not go there

Is that because they won't fit, or are hard to water, or you don't want them there.

I ask, because I plan to buy a CC 36CKTS with Res. Refrig. & inverter and want to put 4 Trojan T-125 batteries with a watering system in the battery compartment.

My dealer installed Energizers. They have been very good batteries. I bought a small extendable mirror and hydrometer to fill with water as needed. As far as 2 12v batteries I had a camper come into our campsite with only 1 12v and the residential frig. He was having trouble keeping it cool and I wonder why.

Folks I installed during the July 4th holiday the battery watering system from camping world for four 6 volt batteries was very easy and filling is so easy. Highly recommend this. Well worth the $$$.

I had this problem and found out that the inverter was bad. When having it replaced I noticed a whole pile of inverters waiting to be shipped back to Forest River

Inverter for refrigerator

14 CC 38CK look earlier in the thread. You need to make sure your batteries are wired like the diagram. The diagram in the battery compartment is in correct and CC supplied me with a new diagram that charges all four batteries and increases your amp hours.

Could you post that diagram?

Is there a blocking diode between the fridge batteries and the house battery?

Should it have one?
