LED Pendant Lights

We just took delivery on a Silverback 29RE last week and one of the problems that was noticed is one of the pedant light glass globes had fallen and broke on the table. It was no big deal because the dealer just ordered us another globe and a new table top. On the way home, the second one fell. My question; has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you solve it?

If it's like any other globe style light fixture ... there are 3 - 4 small screws holding the globe in place. Make sure all are there and that they are snug. Don't reef down on them much or you will crack the globe. Maybe add a little loctite to the screws.

Several things around the trailer could use a little loctite.

In these, they are held on with nuts that are on a threaded rod and the LED bulb sockets are below that. My problem is the nuts are not moving/loosing that I can see. Just plan weird. I can not see what is happening and what is causing it.

On the "Glass Globe" lights it is a Fine Line to install Properly! Run the thin nut up on the retaining rod,now place the fine tooth Washer on the Inside of the Globe, now fit the globe onto the fixture until the Glass globe and washer contact the "Base plate and washer" at the Same Time! Several up & downs with the Glass Globe! When contact is correct then put on bottom nut,a Small drop of "Blue Loctite" can be used on the Bottom nut! We have 4 Led converted "Home Type" Glass Globe's in our unit and they have Not dropped in 1000's of Road Miles! Youroo!!

Had the same problem on our first trip out. The glass shades used by Forest River is way to heavy and the movement during travel snapped the hardware rod connection at the ceiling. Replaced with much lighter globe from Lowes. Although a larger opening at the top of shade I used a rubber washer to reduce the opening and it works great. Waiting on Forest River to replace the hardware and Dinette table that was damaged.

Posted on same issue back in Jan or Feb. as stated the square globes are the only thing on the light that is built well but also way to heavy for the cheap metal rods and poor designed joint/mount. If you don't keep the thumb screw tightened down they will really move about and slam each other or finally fatigue the cheap metal mount and down it comes onto table top. You would think that based upon more than just a few complaints and warranty claims they might fix it and save themselves some recurring cost. Oh well so much for quality control and listening to the consumer.

Forest River sent me two new complete light fixtures, which I placed in attic. I took the old fixtures completely apart, and used clear epoxy on all the thread joints. Purchased new globes, Lowes, which we like a lot better and now we are going strong. No other problems with the lights. Yes, they are cheap pot metal, but once glued, solid as a rock.

Since the lamps fell on the table, Forest River also sent me a new table.

No, buts, no questions, just ok, its on the way.

Replacing pendants

We had the same problem. Connection of metal tube on one light failed allowing the light to sway into the other light breaking shades. I emailed Cedar Creek and received totally useless replies from someone in owner relations. All I wanted was to know if the wiring at the ceiling is 12 volt all the time. I didn't want replacement or to purchase from Cedar Creek. All I got was to contact the dealer which in our case is CW. Never dealing with them again after too many bad experience. So much for the value of Owners Relations at Cedar Creek.
I am thinking of replacing with ceiling mounted floods with aimable metal shade. Does anyone know if the wiring for the pendants is 12 volts?
