Thanks also doc73 and Mr. Dan. I haven't had an opportunity to use them yet so I wasn't sure if they have a non-slip surface that's hard to clean.

itat, here’s a pic of my step treads — fairly simple to clean.

And here is a pic of the handrail which my height-challenged DW can reach from the ground. This is really important to her due to her back problems and occasional vertigo.

And here’s a pic of where the unit sits when it’s not on a trip. I’m fortunate not to have to jam it in a lot which is packed like sardines.

BTW, Texas is not like the Great Sahara! I made these pics on our property a few years ago... and I have pics of a 5.5" layer of ice/snow/sleet on our metal roof. It took 10 or so days to melt off.

WHAT A PITA !!!!!!!!!!

15’ wide is plenty of room to deploy these steps if you don’t deploy the opposing slide .

I wonder if Cedar Creek will build a Hathaway using the pull out steps, I'd guess the frame still has the mounting brackets for the box?

One of the must haves was these MORryde steps when we purchased our new Landmark. In tight spaces an issue but roadside stops can be worked around with finding the right place to stop.

I have a wolf pup that came with the step above steps. The bolt spacing is 38” rather than 25” for the coach mount to the outriggers. This precludes a quick bolt on of under mount steps. I bought undermount steps and lippert outriggers from etrailer but still need to weld up a t bracket to reach the coach mount bolts. Soooo I put the step above back in! Still hatin em but I will post some modifications that may help. One biggie is proper install. Mine was botched at the factory. Here is a video by the manufacturer. It is interesting that when he tries to close the door after the install it pops back at him. Ideally they would design a door and stair combo that does not warp the door.

Although I have made mine detachable for emergency situations, I think Morryde should investigate a system similar to attic access ladders that are commonly used in home garages. Basically having a single knee joint. That would allow access in situations when you're too close.

I saw on RV Business recently that 3 of the RV manufacturers were going to start installing the Torklift steps But the 3 were not named.

Sorry. I joined this post late. X2 on no help from MORyde. Any chance you can post a pic. I'm a little nervous about drilling out anything on a brand new 5th wheel.

That works great. I'm ordering the new 5th wheel tomorrow and I just found out that the step above is the only option on my floor plan. I have about a 2 in wide parking window if I want to be able to open the steps at the house.

I have found out since my earlier post that Cedar Creek will substitute the Pull Out style steps if the floor plan will accommodate it, Unfortunately my 34IK will not accommodate the pull out box required due to the door placement too close to the wheel well. I'm stuck with the tip out style, oh well, the dog will appreciate them.

X2...I also confirmed this when I ordered my 34IK. In fact..the MORyde Steps are what made he 34IK floorplan possible. I plan on making them "easily removable" for those tight situations.

Torklifts stick out just as far. Only thing different is deployment.

Yes...

But they can be deployed at many different angles!

Not just in...or out!
