New 2017 38EL Champagne Long 3 week trip to Florida and Back to MD

Took our new 38EL out for a 2600 mile [round trip]. Trailer performed great! Can't wait to go full timing! Few minor issues; Shower door base track wasn't properly sealed when installed; Resealed no leaks. Both basin Pop up tailpieces both leaked. Took apart, resealed and fixed. Both plastic fender flares the screws on the leading edge loosened up and came out. Were flapping. Replaced screws and used washer. Backed up behind with clear construction adhesive. [Noticed a few other fasteners backing out too when we got home on the metal bottom wrap under edge].
Used the AC in Florida -Mid 80s kept trailer very cool [2-ACs] Used in in 27 degree weather and was equally comfortable with the furnace. We expect little things like this and are very very happy with the trailer!

Congrats on the new unit and happy to hear that you are enjoying it. The shower doors track appears to be a fairly common but relatively easy fix. Ours was the same and water leaked through the inner corners of the frame on the lower door slide. Like you, one of the wheel arches had a screw back out - also a simple fix.

Best wishes for the future and many more enjoyable, relaxing trips.

On the underwrap I would use large stainless fender washers under the fastener heads and add a few more fasteners along the frame. I have replaced the self tapping screws with stainless screws and nylock stainless nuts.

Thinking about replacing screws with color matched rivets.

Rivits are not a good idea. Think servicing your rig. Color match screws instead. I bought color touch up from CC.

Suggest you check all fasteners underneath the unit. Rails that hold tanks, stabilizers, etc. They use cheap self tapping screws, and the heads breakoff. I replaced with rustproof nuts and bolts.
