Will send a photo late today.

We quit work early yesterday.

A couple of prime sirloins and a bottle of good cab interfered with the handle installation.

I bought the handles at Mensrds. Match existing ones only a bit bigger!

Went to dealer this am to get our 1st look at our new 34IK. Noticed that the Level-Up has been relocated to the inside wall of the baggage compartment. It's a bit cumbersome to access and manipulate so I'm wondering if it can be relocated to the inside of the baggage door. Mounting is no issue but not sure about the wiring.
Anyone know if it's a molded end plug or wired direct and it there enough slack to move it to the door?

I thought there was a duplicate smaller control panel on the out side forward of the Battery compartment door.

Yes, our 2019 1/2 33IK has a mini pad on the side ahead of the battery compartment. The main controller is also in the baggage compartment. Inside the compartment is not the most convenient location, but you can do the basic operations from the mini key pad.

Ok. I thought I looked for it on the outside but didn't see a keypad. Maybe I only thought I looked. The one inside is nice. Full touchscreen. I may still want to move it either way. We'll see I guess.

That's a 2019 or 2020? Just wondering if it was changed for 2020 or I just flat missed it?

Good point. I think this was one of the earlier 2019 34IKs

Hello all you 34IK People out there...Even though our own 34IK is about 2 months out, We're already working on our first Mod.. Installing the "Non-RV type" washing machine that is currently in our Sabre. (I guess every one has their own priorities and now you know my DW's)

The plan is to build a "shock Mount" frame similar to the one we built for our Sabre. We had some matching stain made up and are about to buy some lumber, but, I was hoping somebody could get us the following 2 critical measurements: (See Pic below)
  • Width of the built in shelf frame , in the back of the bedroom closet
  • The width of the side wall below the W/D hook-ups from the back of the closet to the front.

With these 2 measurements along with the others I already have, we can pre-cut and stain the lumber and get a head start on this mission critical project.

New 34IK

Hey all you new owners out there. I finally found something I don’t like. I wanted to see if there is a solution.

Well I noticed this as I was bringing my slides in yesterday.

I bring them in one at a time because the couch seats are slippery and they get caught up between the slide and the outside structure. Anyway, at the bottom corners of the slides I saw a gap that is not covered up perfectly to the outside with the slide all the way in.

I will take some pics Friday and post then if I can.

So all of you please look for this we should figure something out here.

Mike

Also does anyone know how to maintain the bedroom slide. Where do you see the mechanism?

Your pic looks identical to my 2019.5 CC 36CK2, so if the 34IK folks don't chime in then perhaps my measurements will help you.

The shelf frame (short red line) is 2 inches. The side wall (long line) is 28 inches, however, the frame trim piece where the red arrow terminates on the right extends 1 inch back into the closet. I suppose you could modify/cut this as it would not interfere with the closet door operation. But without fabrication you would basically have 27 inches.

Thanks for the measurements. That's what I needed. We've observed that from the stairs ,forward, the 34IK and 36CK2 seem pretty identical.

I assume yours in the same place as mine. Hathaway.

We have to lift the lid. Notice the area is not as deep as the bed is tall.

There is a sheet of plywood. On the side facing the bath there is one screw thru the trim on the bottom plywood. Remove the screw. Then the plywood slides back towards the wall. The hydraulic cylinder is there.

MikeRP,
Is the gap on the corners of both slides? How large is the gap? Gasket fixable or structure issue?

On my 36CK2 the gap (on both ends) is small enough that I believe a very tiny piece of open cell foam strategically glued to the slide will fill the gap. But it's a large enough hole to make you think about heat loss and bug intrusion.

The bedroom hydraulic cylinder is under the bed. Spell check drives me mad.
