You're both right, these two things would push the IK over the finish line with my DW. She could care less how big the TV is.

Well, we just placed our order for a '19 34IK Saturday at the Tampa Super Show. Should be here 1st w of March.
Questions now come up that we hadn't thought of as we were so busy comparing brands other than FR.
1. What type and how many batteries should we expect installed in the unit or should we negotiate for?
2. What type tires are they shipping with this month?
3. We expected 80 gallons of gray water but got 2x40 gallon tanks. How well does that work in non-sewer sites?

Also getting ready to order a 34IK and I too would like questions 1 & 2 answer. As for #3..we have 2 42 gal greys now. On the rare occasion that we need more capacity, we carry an extra twist on dump valve, then we just open both greys and allow the grey waste water to seek it's own level.

By the way..what were some of the options you ordered. Among the more common options, we're going to order it with the 18 cuft rv refer and with a std 12 gal rv water heater.

We ordered the slide toppers, propane/electric water heater as we enjoy state parks and many of them do not have a sewer connection. The factory rep advised that the O.D. water heaters use a bit more water and would fill up our tanks faster. We also swapped the King mattress for a queen to give us a little more ingress/egress room around the bed. We also have a 3" talalay latex topper and mattress heater both in queen and don't want to have to replace those.
We also went with the resi refrigerator. Which bring up the question about the batteries. Our current unit has 2 very large AGM batteries and will run our fridge and a small wine cooler for over 2 days on a single charge.

We're also wondering about the battery requirements because this will be our first RV with hydraulics. Just wondering if the pump needs the extra capacity.

X2 on the Queen Mattress for similar reasons. We'd also prefer the 8" as opposed to the 10" Do you recall the brand of mattress.

Also, I'm seeing that the units are coming in with a "Cedar Creek Special Features Package" for ~1,400 MSRP extra. Any idea what that includes.

btw... We'll be visiting the Cedar Creek plant in 2 weeks. Maybe we see your unit being built.

Batteries. We chose 4 interstate golf cart batteries. As we do not have a residental fridge battery capacity is not much of an issue. We are good for a week easy. We plug in often enough recharging with a generator(Honda 2200) has never need necessary.

Costco sells them for less than $400. Our dealer installed them for about $300.

If you did nothing they will install a Marine battery with about 50 amps of available. No way on a residental fridge. Our set up has 250 plus amps available.

Our fiver, a RE34 had Westlake tires.

Our two 40 gallon gray tanks work fine. I do have the screw on valve to balance tanks, but never needed it. And often we do limited laundry in sites without sewers. Plenty of capacity for two for long weekends.

Thanks for the information.
How are the Westlakes holding up? I've read good things about them but having never had a blowout I'd like to keep the "streak" going!
Where did you get the "screw on" valve?
And where does one store the sewer hose when traveling? In my Cameo I had a sleeve mounted in the sidewall that held a really good Wastemaster hose assembly and had a locking door which made it all neat and tidy.

Do not know exactly where I bought my valve. Amazon I think. About $20.

We have 6-7,000 miles on the Westlake tires. Never needed air in them. So far so good. Hit a number of serious potholes. Broke the mounting screws out of the tv. Trim over the closet doors fell off. All fixed.

This was our first rv. Purchased in March. I bought a ton of stuff via Amazon. Free shipping.

Our tube thing for the sewer hose broke off. No good anyway as no hose would not fit in it anyway. Fittings too big. I am sure something fits. I bought a large plastic container for the front storage area that seals well. We carry 30’ just in case.

I have interstate (2) 27 deep cycle batteries. Says it does 25 amps for 160 min. I’m assuming I get that for both batteries discharging at 50%.

So I should have 400 amps. Am I doing that right?

Looks like tcrossan and I ordered the same trailer. Excerpt they made us a booth dinette which turned out beautiful.

Could everyone say what they are going to tow their 34IK with?

Or is it 10 amps for 400 minutes? Or 5 amps for 800 minutes?

Another question, could everyone tell what pin box there are using and tomkatb, what kind of fuel mileage are you getting?

Most tow vehicles only provide a trickle charge at best.

I have the standard factory pin box. I use the Anderson ultimate hitch. Works well. Weighs #27.

My Ram diesel got 11.3 mpg for our trip of 4,000 miles. The fiver is just under #12,000, #16,000 max loaded. Lots of hills. Not a lot of miles without the fiver.

I would recommend a diesel 3500 to tow yours. I have the lightest hitch weight Cedar Creek fiver. I mistakenly bought a 2500. However, I am under axle weights. I also have the lightest hitch.

Love our unit. Stuff works. Very comfortable.

Ok, so if my recollection is correct, batteries are rated in amp hours. There is a lot of good information on the Web about setting up an efficient and safe battery bank. Here is one that may help.

Another good site and should get any of us headed in the right direction.

We ordered the Trailair pin box as we've used the 5th Airborne version in the past and they are very good.
We will tow with our 2012 F350crew cab, SRW with which we've been pulling our 08 Cameo.
Fuel mileage is from 9 to 11.5 depending on the terrain, wind, humidity and cruise control off. I assume the CC will be similar.

I'm working on a 2019 3500 Ram HD HO CTD. The race is just beginning to see which gets here first...the truck or 34IK

Cool are you getting a SRW or a DRW?
