I pull my 38EL with a f350 srw. Just got back from TN yesterday. Up and down the hills on I75 from KY to Knoxville with no problem. I also like the look of the rear cap, just gives it to look of style.

How do you know? Have you weighed a similar rig or just guessing? I have a similar rig and have weighed it and am well within spec everywhere. I have a 11,300 package on a 4x2. No problems and pulls great.

I think we are all a little dumb about somethings, but if you are dumb about weights why would you express an opinion that is all about weights? Just curious...

I agree with sh1pper. You stated you don't know weights ( especially mine). I have added air lift 5000 air suspension to help level it out. I also do not carry much extras, and drive at my comfort level. I would love to have a f450 srw to pull with but it is not in the card for a few more years.

Sorry that we got off topic.

No more faded rear caps

Just a thought, but I wonder if one of the reasons to eliminate the rear cap is not having to pay all those warranty claims for fading. If you took a show of hands it would show a lot of us have went through that repair. That has had to have cost them an RV load of money over the last few years.

I have a 2018 Cedar Creek Champagne and there is no comparison to the 2019's. If I was buying a luxury 5th wheel today I would probably look seriously at the Cardinal or Riverstone.
Actually... Not a single 5er at the rally "rung my bell". I personally dislike the light wood treatments. One (can't remember which" had cool white lighting with light cabinets. It reminded me of a Mrs See's candy storm.

Some of the floorplans were ok, but I agree, the materials and finishes seemed to take a small step backwards in all units compared to what I remember from last year.

Wife wanted something different on the back of ours, so she wheeled and dealed with the factory rep till he threw in the old Silverback logo so we could put in the back. MW is kinda bear crazy.

Also I noticed that the Hathaway version is shorter in height than the Silverback or it looks like that from the photo.

I spoke with Craig Clair, sales and price manager for CC, at the Florida RV SuperShow in Tampa this past January about then current and future features we could expect on their products. I was shocked when he told me and DW that we would not see any more rear caps on future models. Looks like they started that with the current mid-year models.
We, too, don't like the demise of the rear caps, but I'll tell you one thing... anyone who says it's due to the tariff situation is blowing smoke up your tailpipe! Fake news and all that sh...tuff! The decision was made well before any talk let alone action concerning tariff changes.
We're not liking much of what we see on the new models, and that is a shame because we prefer the construction quality/features of the CC line.

I'm with your Wife on this one, I like the Bear logo also. Nothing wrong with Bear crazy. They're just great big cuddly Teddy Bears than can and will eat you.

Nothing wrong with the bear on the back of the Silverback, I like the bear graphic too. The gorilla graphic never did look good and I have to wonder who's idea that was.

Kudos on that statement. Wouldn't buy one without the rear cap. Owner of a 2015 CC that had the caps replaced.

How long ago did you have the caps replaced?

I didnít know. The cap that was replaced for me in 17 has faded again. A friend saw the fading at the rally in Goshen but I thought it was just wet there. I had to get a estimate of damage on my Cedar Creek and the first thing the shop foreman said was the front cap was fading, he had seen that before. I had already contacted Cedar Creek about the fade. I hope yours doesnít fade

Well the Silverback 🦍 is a GORILLA so that is probably why they used it instead of a bear....🤷🏻

The bear is more outdoorsy camper themed though
