Previous to our Champagne, we had a Forest River Dynamax Trilogy. It was flat roof inside and out and was the best looking fiver ever made. The flat line allowed upper cabinets in the living room/kitchen area doubling the storage space. I wish the Champagne had the flat roof/ceiling.

I think I have read somewhere in these forum threads that the Triology line became the New RiverStone models. We have one and the flat roof and ceiling were one the main reasons we went with them.

We, too, don't like the demise of the rear caps, but I'll tell you one thing... anyone who says it's due to the tariff situation is blowing smoke up your tailpipe! Fake news and all that sh...tuff! The decision was made well before any talk let alone action concerning tariff changes.
We're not liking much of what we see on the new models, and that is a shame because we prefer the construction quality/features of the CC line.

That is very sad. The SOB brands have front and rear caps. Really adds class to a unit with this. The cheapening of the CC has been happening for many years. Following suit with the Columbus line as well.

I think the rear caps on Cedar Creek just make the Creek look so much better but that’s just I imagine that some people could care less. I am hoping to see Alaska next year, so I plan on stopping by Topeka. I’m going to ask Orvan Fry a what if, what if you are in a accident and mess up your rear cap, can Orvan install a new cap. If he can why can’t he install a rear cap on a new Cedar Creek

I'm sure that it has mostly to do with keeping enough separation between the products lines and staying within each price point. The champagne as I understand it is keeping the rear cap so we know they CAN do it. CC wants to keep each line distinct and at a certain price point for various customer needs. If there is not enough separation between the Hathaway and the Champagne lines, then there is little justification for the price difference. All while balancing the price to value (you can easily out price your market)
