I looked at a Cardinal at the rally and it looked great, 1 inch shorter than my 32RL Cedar Creek. What I really liked was being told that Cardinal would option in things wanted. I was told I could option in the steps I like plus the rear cap
I spoke with a very nice couple towing a RiverStone 38TS with a Chevy 3500 short bed SRW recently. They snowbird in the Keys every year from N Dakota. Said the rig tows great and gets the job done for them. They did install Firestone airbags and the truck sat very level. It almost convinced me to go that route but I still opted for a DRW Ram 3500 for our 38FB2 RiverStone.

I’m a poor one to say this but the nice couple pulling that RiverStone was way overloaded. The RiverStone could probably be towed with a F-150 but it would be overloaded. They could put ten Firestone air bags and not one would change the yellow sticker in the door.

It’s a flat ceiling. It doesn’t look to have the headroom in the bedroom. I’m sure a lot will like it. You can’t build one camper that everyone likes.

That was my first thought as well, just sharing with the group. I don't know what the payload capacity is on that truck. My Ram DRW sticker states 5680lbs. The pin weight on our 38 FB2 is 3200lbs which leaves us a margin for the additional load we carry in the bed and the cab.

I don’t know about weights and stuff, I’m just a little dumb on weights. I tend to stay away from weights. My 2012 can tow 16,700lbs. The SilverStone is a little more than 19,000 lbs

As important as the weight that can be towed is the payload capacity as stated on the yellow sticker in the truck cab. Most folks exceed the payload before they exceed the tow rating.

I know very little about weights, I leave that to smarter people than me. It’s not a SilverStone it’s a RiverStone and my 2012 Silverado 3500 SRW can not pull one. Well it could but not by me

Anyone else see the next cost cutting move,,,laminated walls rather than hand up walls? I have yet to see a Cedar Creek with delamination.

Where did you see they changed to laminated walls?

I want to read that.

Guess I may have worded that wrong. What I meant was it wouldn't surprise me if they do away with the hand up walls and switch over to laminated walls. I certainly hope CC continues using the hand up walls.

Ahhh, now I get your drift. Hung wall construction is the main reason I bought a Cedar Creek. I hope the don't change that. It does cost more to build that way.

You are correct. For some reason I cannot edit or delete my post and I AM logged in. Hmmm. I mis-read the brochure.

Better Quality after July 19th 2018

we just picked up our 2019+ 37RTH Silverback i think they refer to 2019 1/2 we did custom order it and added alot of options. we have looked at the prior year model and i can tell you that the 2019plus is way better quality all the way around. Trim, Cabinet Fronts, appliances, available options, basement floor covering and such. the flat ceiling doesnt seem to be an issue. i thought the same thing as some when i heard they were moving from arched. the ceiling material feel rather solid and finish very nice than other companies we have experienced. this ceiling seems to have a seal coat that allow for easy cleaning. the new chefs kitchen appliances and fridge is a huge upgrade that i really like! the furniture is so much better no more crappy fake leather. i notice someone posted ch ch changggges post which does show alot of the upgrades. have to say pictures doesnt do justice. we couldnt be any happier with the choice we made.
