New Cedar Creek 34RL2

This new camper looks pretty good, I saw one on Couch's website, it looked good. I have found out on this trip that I need a washer/dryer and on the 32RL that I have now I will lose most of my cabinet space. The two things that DW needs is the washer/dryer and a satellite antenna on top of camper. I'll definitely look at the 34RL2, I can always get the dealer to trade the tires I have on camper

We will be ordering soon so I've been waiting to learn about the 34RL changes. I contacted a regional sales rep a couple of weeks back and he sent me an advance copy of the new sales materials. The 34RL2 floor plan has all of the changes we were hoping for; two sinks in the bathroom, larger sofa, expanded slide so the chairs don't have to be mover to bring slides in and finally and most importantly, PAINTED from cap and it is quite difference from the 2015 cap.
What I don't know is what are the new weight and length specs, if anyone know please share.

It sure looks nice. I will look at one, my 32RL is nice but it's lacking some in cabinet space. I would like to install a washer/dryer but I would lose most of my cabinet space. Unless I was to install it in the closet in the camper and the camper is not plumbed that way.

This has to be longer than 36-'8"as this is what my unit length is for the 34RL,we purchased in 2016. We were informed that the couch/theater seat would not fit on the back wall with the current slides that they offer. Also per Cedar Creek management there are only three or four slides that are used in all models of Creeks Creek's that are built. With each model having the slides configured differently for that model use.

I could see the trailer (34RL2) using the 34RE chassis as this is a little longer than the 34RL model.

I can't let my wife see this model as this is the configuration she wanted. When we ordered our unit in Feb.2016, we were told that the couch/theater seating would not fit on the back wall because of the dining room slide being too long. This would interfere with the couch/theater seating when closed. As it is the slide when close will rub on the arm of the recliner unless it is position correctly and a towel is placed between the arm and slide trim.

Yep, I'm thinking the same thing, probably an increase of 4-6 inches. Think these specs are actually for the 2016 models.
But the new video release today have a very nice looking front cap for the Hathaways.

This one fits the bill for us too! I'm waiting until the first unit is built to see pictures and get the actual specs before ordering. I never trust the pre-build weight and length info. I'm hoping it turns out to be a bit longer than 36'8" when all is said and done.

That's a nice layout. Too bad it wasn't offered when we ordered. I must have the recliners across from the TV! (Not sure why, I can't get satellite TV to work!! LOL). Anyway, this is really a very similar layout to the 40 foot CKTS I have, and the difference seems to be (strictly looking at layout) a bit less length in kitchen.

I just looked on Cedar Creek website at Forest River and the 34RL is not 40ft 2in, it says it is 36ft 8in. Where did you see the 40ft at? I must not be looking at the right place, forty foot is a little long for me

It seems they changed their specs on the website. When I ordered my 34RE it was listed as 36 ft. 6 in. Now it's 37 ft. I might have been wrong on the 34RL , I can't find my old special sheet I printed out back in Jan. When I ordered my 34RE. I had trouble with my satellite TV on my 34RE also . I found out that the hook up that says satellite dish is for pre-wired traveler roof mount dish and not connected to the dish hook up in the utility Bay. The regular dish hookup inside the RV is the top hookup where the TV ant. amp. is. If you use the cable hookup in the utility Bay, you use the same hookup inside as for satellite but you have to turn off the TV antenna amp. The labeling on the wall plates are miss leading. My 2017 34RE came pre-wired for a dish traveler roof mount satellite antenna so this is how mine is wired. Hope this will help, took me a week to figure it out

I have to make some changes on my 32RL or buy the 34RL2. I found out I need a washer/dryer and I only have room for a combo, even then I have to take a set of drawers out and put shelves in. Not major work but we have to have some cabinet space. I'll try to trade somewhere, it doesn't matter where to me. Can anyone recommend a good dealer?

I was also told production was starting July 12 on the new Hathaway series to include some new models as well as updated current models. I'm waiting to get a look at them in person.

I would really like to see some pictures. I'm going to try and buy one to get some things put on at the factory. But if not I'll make a few mods on this one. I like the camper we have, there is nothing wrong with this one. I would like to get dual pane windows and solar and a washer/dryer. I wonder if when you order from the factory if camper can be ordered without the tv and DVD player. It's not trying to save money it's that I like LG and a better DVD player. But everyone is different. If anyone finds pictures I would appreciate it if you posted them

The 34RL2 floor plan has now appeared on the website, but it's not the right one. They actually have the 34RL2 plan labeled as the 34RL and I believe the floor plan for the 36CK2 is now labeled as the 34RL2. I think somebody goofed big time.

Also, all the specs for the 34RL2 now say "TBD".

You are correct. I sent an email to the CC Sales folks to check it out.
