New Sink Sucks

Anybody else have this modern looking new sink? It looks good in the showroom but functionally it stinks. There is very little space between the faucet and the sloped sides of the sink. It makes it very difficult to use and the faucets are so close to the edge that it makes a mess just washing your hands much less brushing your teeth or shaving.

Have y'all figured out a good upgrade? Taller faucets seems like the only good option without getting into a major mod like one centrally located taller faucet.

That's good feedback for Forest River. Sounds like a case of form over function. Looks great but not so practical to use.

You have to wonder if the people that design these things actually ever use them to see how they function.

Ya, we thought we loved all the changes to the 2020.5 and beyond till this pesky issue came up.

I'm a Function guy and my DW is a Form gal. She HATES it when I use the Form Over Function term!

If you wanted to make the drive and spend the money Orvan at Amish family rv would redo it for you. We had him change out the snake skin looking head board to the one that you have in yours with the boards and also changed out our steps. But it does come with a cost.

Orvan and his crew do fantastic work. He's proven that to us.

Cedar Creek loves that kind of constructive feedback. You should contact them and let them know that new style of sink stinks and why.

Good Luck

We are picking our 34IK this Friday and have already been thinking of changing out the top and sinks. I just do not like the looks of it, the all one piece molded too/sink looks cheap. Why they didnít put a small stainless sink with solid surface countertop is beyond me.

Taller faucets sound like the best option.....
How are those two mirrors working out? That looks like another 'form over function' choice.

I think taller faucets will just exacerbate the issue, the water falling will cause a big splash effect and make matter worse. The only real solution is to rip and replace the counter top and put in conventional sinks if there is room for the inset. Otherwise you may have to settle for Vessel sinks which are still better than the current configuration IMO.
