New Slide Out Seals

Our Cedar Creek 2016 36CKTS slide seals ripped some on the bedroom slide the very first few times we used it but stabilized and since it was under the slide out I really never worried too about it.

Now that our unit is getting about 5 years (and many miles) on it I thought about replacing the seals on the BR slide out. The others are still in good shape.

Any suggestions ... should I wait or get some new material and start the replacement and how hard of a project is it?

Depending on the style of the seals it's usually not too bad a job. Cleaning up the adhesive after removing the old seals is the biggest job.

Once you figure out the seal type and how much you need, lots of places sell the seals.

Very easy to do. I purchased from Amazon both parts. Recommend replacing all slides, if it is been five years your due. Took me about an hour per slide out. To save time I recommend when you remove the bulb there maybe a row of screws holding the blade on. Apply a piece of blue painters tape along the blade and mark where the screws are. Then when you replace the new blade you can use an awl and quickly locate the old holes. To remove the old adhesive recommend using goo gone, let it set for 5 minutes and use a plastic scrapper.

Good luck
