No black water wash out in 1/2 bath toilet tank
Just purchased a 2018 38FBD Hathaway Edition 5th Wheel with 1 1/2 baths. (Traded in our 2016 38el Champagne Edition). We really wanted the second bath room. Wow , we have two toilets and two 40 gallon black tanks.
After dealing with issue of foul odors from 1/2 bath for a couple of months, we found out that in order clean the 1/2 bath tank, we had to drain and refill that tank 4 times with fresh water. Then we emailed factory and they told us that the 1/2 bath tank DID NOY HAVE A WASH OUT!
Using a wand washer is next step?
Enough on the rant. My point is BE AWARE OF NO WASHOUT ON 1/2 bath black tank. My dealer did not know this either. We thought the std washout was feeding both tanks since they are side by side.
P.S. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

I would trade for that camper, I have old knees. Cuts down on going up stairs. I hope they have one at the rally. I think I can install a black water tank flush.

Does the half bath have a fan in the ceiling like the full bath does.

Yes, it has a Fantastic fan. Works well. Ceiling in that 1/2 bath is almost 10 ft high. We like the layout better than the 38el. Everything else regarding the coach is great. Just cannot understand why cc thought of everything else, BUT the washout! It's like running a marathon and stopping at the finish line about a foot short[emoji848]

easy fix, .... "Quickie Flush", ..... much cheaper than sale and buy another unit, .... I've installed four, two into black tanks and two into gray tanks, and they work great, .... it can work better than the factory unit, because on my trailer they mounted the factory unit just above the drain valve/hole, ... you can mount it on the opposite side of the tank and it will help push the waste towards the drain, ...... Amazon or Walmart, .....

Sounds as if you have a "solid waste" accumulation in that tank. Do you have the odor all the time, or just when you flush? If you have it all the time then you have another problem. The only remedy I can suggest is putting about 10-15 gallons of water in that black tank with a 1/4 cup of RID-X flushed into it. Ensure at least 1-2" of water sits on top of the toilet flapper, and leave it sit for about 72 hours. Then you need a trip to the DS along with a good wanding. Once the tank is clean, put at least 10 gallons of water in it with a good dose of deodorizer. As a rule, unless in storage I always leave at least 10-15 gallons of fresh water in the black tank after a dump.
As someone else suggested, there are inexpensive flush kits that can be installed. Compared to some of the silly mods I've read about, this mod makes practical sense. Back in the day we had no tank flush connections, and wanding was a given.

no connection for black water flush
I too have 2018 CC 38FBD although we ordered it and had them omit the 1/2 bath(use area for freezer). I went to use black water flush for first time today and had water coming out of the trailer. Looked and no hose.
