Our 38ERD came off line on 2/26/2021, but is waiting on baggage doors along with about 50 other units with NO ETA.

Saw yesterday where there is a large Fiberglass shortage and Jayco is shipping their Pinnacle’s without rear caps and may have to stop using front caps. It is a different type of fiberglass as compared to the side walls according to what I saw and they are competing with windmill factory’s that use it for the blades. Shortages all around the RV world now.

After a few times out, I can say that the 5th wheel backs much differently than my TT. Will take me a little while to work out the differences. The TT reacted much faster and I was good with that.

Ordered New Cedar Creek

I would guess the issue with the doors is due to fiberglass issue. I as well had read bout that issue. When I was told about the parts issue the doors were the last thing I would have thought of.

I have a 2021 Cedar Creek Cottage and looking to add the second awning. Did yours come with the Thule Galactic electric awning and if so how do you like it and is there an extra inside toggle switch to put it out. Thanks

I had Amish RV repair install an awning. They added a switch in the panel.
Like the addition of a second awning, covers our bikes.

I have the Thule second awning on our ‘21 40CRS. We have only extended it a dozen times with no problems so far.

I do have a second Thule Awning. It has separate controls by the door. No problems with it so far but have not used it too much. It is slow going in and out.

We have the 40CCK. Was yours factory installed, this will be after delivery installation. In the panel box is the switch next to the primary awning switch? Do you have a picture of the awning extended out? I really appreciate your time. We can’t find any info, manual on line concerning this Thule Galactic awning.

Our’s was factory installed. The switch is located on the wall in the slide/dining area. Having the switch near the main awning switch would have made more sense. Like Jblack mention above, it is slower than the main awning but it is also a different type of mechanism.

We actually purchased from Couch RV. We got the 311RL with all the bells and whistles. This is our first RV and we had lots of questions. Purchasing and ordering were a great experience, I would only advise that you get all your questions answered before you purchase, once you pay for it they wont find the time to help you.

I ordered the 360RL from Couch also. Mid to late July is what they told me.

Going to drive up from Charlotte NC to pick it up. Camping World was a joke. They wanted about 20 grand more for the same thing.

Congrats! Camping World wanted about 15K-20K more for a basic strip down 311RL. I felt sorry for the salesman in the clutches of Camping World's excessive pricing for morons. Good guy, but being handcuffed to CW's insane profit margin, he had no wiggle room to give us. Plus, I wanted all of the options done at the Cedar Creek plant. We get ours loaded to the hilt with 10 options. We pick it up on 6-25-21. About a 10 week process. Driving from Az to Trenton, Ohio. Fun road trip. Never been to the states we are passing through. We are going I-40/I-44. Got the radar out for all the BBQ we can find.

jblack...did you pick up your 311RL yet? Just curious, did you get the updated shower brought down from the Riverstone line? I love the fact we did! I hated that early model shower surround with the big seat etc that took up all the space. They installed a subway look in ours and a much nicer drain system. Gave us waaay more room in the shower and looks sooo much better. I say smart upgrade Cedar Creek!

LOL, I couldn’t help but pile on..Camping World also wanted $18k more than what we paid elsewhere. Funny thing is I just got an email from the dealer asking if I ever decided on a unit…a year later.

Not a pile on at all. I cannot believe how CW actually sells enough when most people will shop around. Our salesman knew we were buyers and not kicking tires. We got the usual "What can we do to earn your business?". Without trying to make a joke out of him, I just said..."I am getting a 4 camera system, slide toppers, living slide awning, DW, Insta hot water tank, W/D, 4 batteries and a Air Ride pin hitch for nearly $20K less than your 311RL with none of these options!" He just was left practically speechless...Did not tell him the name of the dealership I ordered from because it just did not matter.
